Tablelist

Has anyone used the Tablelist app to book tables in LV? If so, how was the service - in other words how did you get handled at the door and did you get a good table? Do you think the minimums are as low as (or even lower than) going through a host or the club directly? It seems like a really easy way to compare minimums and book a table but would like to get some feedback from the JC community. Thanks!

I've looked at it thoroughly (and as an avid vegas goer and app developer) i wouldn't use it.

The hosts work their asses off on this site securing their reputation as honest/ethical businessmen. You will never get that with an app unless it's produced by this website.

The minimums may look good but you're MOST Likely not going to get anything special. There is a reasonably large impact that the final convo between host and podium macbook guy has on your table location which can then easily make or break your night.

That seems like a good take. I live in Boston and occasionally flip through the app and am shocked at some of the venues where they sell bottle service. Sometimes I'll see a sports bar where I cannot for the life of me imagine getting bottle service, unless those bottles are Bud Lights and the service comes from behind the bar. Other times I'll walk into a near-empty lounge and sit down at a table with a couple of friends, open the app, and see that a reservation where we are sitting for free would be $500 minimum. In other words, I'm aware that probably the biggest drawback is that it won't offer any advice on club, table location, etc., so that you can make sure to buy a table that actually makes sense for your desired night out.

I think I would consider using it as a last resort if the prices were lower than I could otherwise get and I was with a group that simply couldn't pony up for personalized service, but my expectations would definitely be lower.

I agree with Kinar. The communication with recommended hosts is exceptional, you never have to worry about getting stuck in a bad location, and they always take great care of you. You'll know exactly what to expect, and can ask them a million questions if need be. Using a host also has a lot to do with building a relationship... especially if you frequent Vegas.
