So I have been reading threads for awhile now and first off thank you all for the wealth of information! Very impressive all the knowledge on Vegas. After reading posts I have a few questions

My girlfriend and I will be there Oct 17 to 20th. We are early 40's and been there many times but it has been years since we have gone to a club. We are planning on going somewhere on Friday night 17th.

Probably a Tier 2 Hip/Hop, Top 40, I have been looking at Tryst, Bank, Hyde?
We want Bottle Service, so we have a place to sit, take a break. I heard Tryst has tables for 2?
If we have a table what time do we need to get there?
Do mixers come with the bottle?
Do you give your host tip directly to the host and is it before you go in?
When do you tip everybody else. Throughout the night or at the beginning, end?

Thanks in advance for any advice and help!

In my opinion Tryst or Hyde would typically be better than the Bank, and I'd definitely lean toward Tryst over Hyde.

I'm not sure of tables for 2 being a specific thing, but really most tables have an upper limit to how many people can be at the table not a lower limit, so at any club a group of 2 could get a table.

If you have a table you typically want to show up at or before midnight, but if you make proper arrangements you can show up later, although that might cost you. You could show up right at opening usually around 10-11pm, and the table is typically yours until you leave so there isn't really much reason to show up late unless you have conflicting plans like a show.

Usually you are allowed 2 mixers for free. Orange and cranberry juice are the most common, but most clubs will let you have Coke or Sprite instead. Redbull is usually an extra charge, along with bottled water.

You give the host their tip, typically called the handshake, usually right when entering, but the size of the tip is usually discussed when requesting the table.

Typically I've seen most people tip the security and runners at the start, and your server at the end, but she is already being tipped 18-20% automatically so most don't seem to tip much if anything on top of that.

My wife and I got a table for 2 at tryst in May on a Friday. We went through bobby Yeadon and got 1 bottle of grey goose and a bottle of champagne for $300 (plus 28% tax/tip/gratuity) and that included whatever mixers we wanted. I asked for a table outside by the waterfall and he gave me the very first one as you walk out of the club. It looked like a love seat compared to stools at other tables. He never asked for a handshake but I gave him one anyways because he gave us a great spot and was a good guy. I think we had to arrive by 1030 or so. As far as the club we both really had a great time. They definitely played a lot of hip hop and top 40 if that's what your into. Hope this helps!

+1 on Tryst, sounds like it'd be perfect given your criteria, and also for booking with Bobby Yeadon, hands-down the best host I've dealt with there. Ask him about the $300 Goose/Champagne deal; you really can't beat that for two people and may have a little left to share (depending on your tolerance) should you make some new friends once you're there. Also taking my wife and some friends back there next month and he was the first person I contacted (we're also doing the $300 deal). Usually the table is yours the entire night (your host can clarify this).

Just be very up front on where you'd like to sit and ask directly how much of a handshake you should give. Bobby is very straight forward and will let you know what to expect.

I'd recommend arriving by 11 pm. If you need to arrive later, you may want to tip a little extra as the hosts tend to get busier as the night progresses. I tend to tip immediately upon arrival when checking in. Some people like to wait until they're seated, but I disagree. I think it's important to let the host know up front that they'll be taken care of and this can sometimes translate into a better table location.

Don't forget to tip your runner (your busboy, essentially). You'll often see this guy attending to your table more frequently than your server, and people sometimes overlook tipping them. I've found that $20-$30 goes a long way in getting better service. If there's a bouncer keeping an eye on your table, showing you/your wife the way to the restroom, checking on you, etc., make sure to throw a little his way too. Have a great time!

Thanks for the advice. I contacted Bobby and he hooked me up with the $300 Goose/ Champagne deal. One last question regrading dress. I had planned on an Armani button down shirt and a nice club type sport coat with jeans. Is that overkill?

Sounds classy to me. Always better to be over-, rather than under-, dressed

Again def. recommend working with Bobby. Great communication and very straightforward!

Tryst is a good booking for Thursday, if you are looking for another hip-hop/open format club...I'd def put the Bank on your radar for Sunday night too. You should be able to get a great deal on a table as well.
                  Next trip: ???

Just got back from 4 nights in Vegas. I used Bobby Y for hosted general admission entry for my gf and I Friday night for Fedde le Grand and Morgan Page. Very quick response during the day saying no problem, i get to XS and text him, he calls me less then a minute later and walks us straight in. He also gave us some drink tickets which was great! Can't recommend him enough.

Bank is good on Sunday. I also like Drai's on Sunday. Usually it's HipHop/Open Format - probably can't get as good of a deal as it Bank, however I much prefer the actual venue of Drai's to Bank.

I'm a big noob here.. how does this setup work? I'm heading to vegas in a couple days, none of the group are into doing bottle service but definitely would like to hit some clubs and likely using GA unless we can work around it

A host can help us here get past the line, no cover? Is there a handshake involved? (how much $$?)

You can get walked into a club, sometimes without having to pay (good girl to guy ratio or the host really likes you) but in most instances it is ideal and customary to tip "handshake" the host the cost of the GA ticket. I usually do the ticket + some because they are doing me a big favor in saving me time, convenience and I like to build a rapport.

In my opinion I would tip the ticket price plus $5 to $20.

If you have a group of 4-5 guys I would really think about bottle service.

Mixed drink @ bar = $15 flat with tip = $18 on average.
                          Mixed drink @ table = $22

7$ a drink is the difference you pay for a table vs none table.

You get around 22 shots per bottle with a 2 bottle min for 4-5 guys.

44 shots for 5 guys @ $350 a guy for the night will be your all-in at any place.

Same drinks at the bar will cost you $160 or so for those 9 drinks. Add in the $50 for club entrance and tipping for access to anything else there and you are more than halfway to bottle service cost.

                          just food for thought!
