  • Typical sausage fest bachelor party

It was suggested I post here as well as the bachelor party sub forum. As far as budget, not entirely sure. It's hard to convince people of bottle service if they've never been. I have and would be willing to pay again in a heart beat, but the 8 others, not sure. We don't have a preference as far as music goes. Also most if us like to drink beer instead of liquor.

Alright guys, we have a bachelor party coming to Vegas Friday morning 9-26 and leave Sunday morning 9-28. There's 9 guys, no rules. We're staying at the bellagio. Myself and only one other guy has been to Vegas before... BUt the last time I went was 2011. We're all 22-24. Give us direction because we have no idea where to even begin! Thanks

Usually I go with a mixed group of guys and girls so a table makes slightly less sense, but really for a group of guys I'd just put the cost of GA pre-sale tickets plus the cost of a typical number of drinks and then the cost of bottle service in comparison and I think they might reconsider. I've never heard of anyone just getting beer at a table, but I really don't know why they wouldn't let you order a few cases of beer instead of a bottle, maybe someone else can chime in, but you definitely could ask a host and they'd be able to tell you if you could pull that off.

    Tier 1 Clubs:
    XS
    Hakkasan
    Light
    Marquee
LiFE (Possibly, a little unclear since it's so new)
Drai's (Arguable, again depends on who you talk to)

    Tier 1 Pool Parties:
    Wet Republic
    Encore Beach Club
    Marquee Beach Club
    Drai's Beach Club
    Rehab (depending on the DJ)

I'd suggest Tier 1 for sure if you end up doing pre-sale tickets, if you are really wanting to doing bottle service and can't find a decent deal at any of those clubs then I'd look to some Tier 2 clubs.

    Tier 2 Clubs:
    Surrender
    Tryst
    Tao
    1Oak
    Haze

    Tier 2 Pools:
    Liquid
    Bare
    Tao Beach

If you decide to do a strip club I usually recommend the Palomino, it's the only club in Vegas to have a bar and fully nude girls, along with the only club to have round-trip transportation.

Secret Pizza at the Cosmopolitan is a great after clubbing food spot, and luckily a short walk from the Bellagio.

Awesome. How do I go about seeing drink prices or GA ticket prices? Also how long is the wait for GA?

You can find out info on ticket prices through the clubs' website or through wanttickets.com

Beers are usually 8-10 and mixed drinks 14-16. If you order anything with redbull in it you will be charged for the redbull and the drink.

Pre-sale GA, that's buying tickets through each club's website or wantticks.com, usually have a separate line that is a very short wait, although XS and Surrender have tainted their pre-sale tickets by recently combining the regular GA line with the pre-sale line and that has lead to a lot of recent negative reviews, so I'd pay particular attention to threads specific to XS and Surrender in the coming weeks since that policy is new. Typically pre-sale tickets are instantaneous or less than a 15 minute wait, but if a club like XS or Surrender combines the regular GA and pre-sale ticket lines it may be an hour or 2.

DeX's drink prices are pretty accurate, so beer is usually slightly cheaper, but cases of beer are really just set at the per beer price not at a discount, so usually 2-3 cases of beer are the same price as one bottle, since a bottle is usually between $500-$700. So for 9 guys typically you'd be required to buy 2-3 bottles of alcohol, and then plus 8.1% tax, 10% live entertainment tax, and 20% gratuity, so that would be $1400-$2000 but GA pre-sale would be around $50 x 9 people, plus $10 x 4 beers each x 9 people plus tax and tipping would be be at least $900. So then you are looking at a difference in price for table service to GA of $50-$125 per person, which quite a few people would consider worth the benefit of having a table, especially for any of the single guys who want to give out some drinks to girls since the number of bottles required usually leads to having more than you would need for yourselves, giving you extra to provide to girls.

I know that's a lot of information, but the take-away is that typically guys would need to spend $50-$125 more to have a table and a couple of drinks to give out vs. paying the pre-sale price and buying enough drinks to have a good time.

1st thing I always say to anyone is look at the lineups among clubs and compare. Is it hip hop/open format/ edm etc.
You have to realize there are bars everywhere in vegas with music and beers. The nightclubs are more of show- think confetti/lasers etc.

If your going for more open format/ clubs that are in walking distance I would think of something like this:
Friday afternoon pool party- Drais with DJ Irie- Should be able to get free entry thru vipfree etc. drais is across the street
Friday night- The bank at bellagio with Eric D-Lux
Saturday afternoon Marquee with DJ Vice- cosmo is next to bellagio
Now for Saturday night- its a big night in vegas
Saturday night- XS with Zedd $30 tickets. Calvin Harris is at Hakkasan $65 tickets.

            Couple of tips
9 guys means 2 cabs and vegas cabs are very expensive
nightclubs open around 11pm with headline djs on around 1am going till around 5am
pool parties open around 11am with headline djs on around 3pm going till about 6pm
all strip clubs do free limo/free entry most have bottle specials ex. $100 bottles before 8pm or 9pm and are open 24/7 I think the pool parties/ nightclubs are more fun would try to work strip club around your pools/nightclubs

@artedm If they say they don't have a preference as far as music goes, then the lineup isn't the most important factor, lol. I know for you or I that might be the biggest factor, but most people aren't as picky.

Cabs aren't that expensive, especially splits 4 or 5 ways (usually around $20 total per ride), and 9 people is almost where limos become an attractive option since they are cheaper in Vegas than any other town in the US ($60-90 an hour). I've rarely seen a headlining DJ do more than a 3 hour set, usually they are closer to 2 hours, but they do start around 1am. All strip clubs may do a free limo to the club but some will do an entry free or a minimum number of drinks per person to enter, and to my knowledge only the Palomino provides the return trip back to your hotel, otherwise you are left getting a cab/cabs to return to your hotel.

Don't go to the Bank, there are plenty of better options for Friday. If personal opinions of music aren't important, then the crowd that DJs attract does, and with Quintino at Drai's, Dyro at Light, EC Twins at LiFE, Guetta at XS, Diplo at Surrender, Steve Aoki at Hakkasan, and Cosmic Gate at Marquee, The Bank should be more of a ghost town than the place to be. If music does matter then the Bank isn't the right call, but if it doesn't then I'd pick a place with an outside: Drai's, XS, Surrender, Marquee; a place with live performers/aerialists: Light, LiFE; or a place with multiple rooms: Hakkasan, Marquee. If you're only doing Vegas for 2 days make it count, and make sure you are at the place likely to have the best crowd and the best energy.

Perfect. We all drink quite a bit... And like I said for the most part we prefer beer. We'd need more than 4 beers each for a few hours there.Should I just call a host and tell them we're interested in Friday or Saturday night and we have 9 guys and want some cases? Text them? How soon before we go?

Usually 2 weeks out is about the right time since then they'll have an idea of how much demand there is going to be and can give you a more realistic quote. Typically texting is the preferred method of communication, so yeah right about now is the right time, but I'd wait till tomorrow since right now they are probably working and more busy. Good luck and make sure to post how asking about beer goes, that's a unique scenario that I haven't yet seen on the forum!

Will do. I'll probably text a few hosts from the recommended clubs. Will the tier 2 clubs be way cheaper?

You are doing a Friday and Saturday so it is much more demand based, but typically a Tier 2 club is cheaper. Don't be afraid to text the Tier 1 hosts though, worst case is they quote you something out of your price range and you say no thanks. Better to be surprised by a good deal at a Tier 1 club than to just automatically settle for a Tier 2. I wouldn't bother with Hakkasan if you are looking for any sort of deal, but Light and Drai's are typically more accommodating and LiFE is so new that I don't think the pricing is clear yet.

max thanks for proving my point on looking at lineups
They say no preference I say so maybe open format and you say go with big name

                        In terms of cabs
$3.30 to start + $2.6 a mile or 20 cents every 24 seconds if in traffic
                        http://www.taxifarefinder.com/rates.php
                        http://www.lvcabs.com/taxi_cab_fares/
                        Just take your $20 estimate.
                        So $20x2=$40 from the airport
$40 to a pool party Friday, $40 back from a pool party Friday
$40 to a nightclub Friday, $40 back from a nightclub friday
$40 to a pool party Saturday, $40 back from a pool party Saturday
$40 to a nightclub Saturday, $40 back from a pool party Saturday
                        $40 to the airport
                        =
$400 in cabs fares and limos will be more expensive

In terms of minimums you will probably be quoted for example $1000. which you can spend on whatever you want
                        ask about beer prices say $10 each x 24= $240 a case
                        + 28%- 40% tax/tip on top
So $1200-$1400 for 4 cases roughly

None of the big name clubs is going to give you a table with a $250-$500 min with 9 guys on a friday/saturday

Lol, well I was just shocked at The Bank recommendation, haven't heard that name tossed around on the forum much at all lately, and I doubt that's because it's being overlooked. If music doesn't matter to them I felt like suggesting open format wasn't what they were going to care about, just going to a club with an energetic vibe and a good crowd.

With respect to cabs $400 sounds about right, so then you have 2 cabs with 4.5 people in each, assuming you split between 1 4 person cab and 1 5 person cab and the 5th person rotates, so that's really only $400/9=$44.44 per person to cab the entire trip assuming you cab every trip. Now finding that 5 person cab in Vegas can be a nightmare, but I'm used to staying at smaller more obscure places like Palms Place, so I would think at the Bellagio it would be less of a problem. $44.44 isn't that bad at all compared to costs of other things in Vegas.

Something that I think is often overlooked on this forum is the monorail and the bus system. Not exactly glamorous, but definitely a viable option. Monorail: $12 for 24 hours and a slight savings for longer periods, Bus: $8 for 24 hours.

My quote was $1400-$2000 for 2-3 bottles, and 2-3 cases being equivalent to a bottle, so that fits right with your $1200-$1400 for 4 cases.

You are absolutely right that they aren't probably going to do better than the $1200-1400, which my $1400 quote fits right into, I never said anything less than $1400-$2000 for a table, lol.

I think we're really on the same page, but I just felt the Bank recommendation was a little outdated. I went to Moon past it's prime and it wasn't pretty.

I just saw eric dlux at his hotel

Guetta at xs will be different more of an experience

What's your budget for bs? Since you guys are not from the US, you prob don't get to vegas that often. I'd stick with the tier 1 clubs which are going to have the best crowds.

Since you guys are into beer, you don't really need bs for more than one night (def need to do it once for the experience). This is what I would do.

Fri: Presale @ Hak w/ Steve Aoki
Sat day: Presale @ Wet w/ Calvin Harris or Presale @ EBC w/ David Guetta
Sat night: BS @ XS w/ Zedd (talk to Bobby Yeadon, you could prob get a backwall table w/ min of $2k, so about $3400 total)

That's if you want to go hard all weekend.

Whatever you guys do, you'll have a blast.
