When to pools usually close for the season

I've never come in the fall but its currently looking like my next trip will be early to mid October. Are pools still open? I'm not familiar with the Vegas weather this time of year.

An idea of the weather and it's possibilities. http://www.wunderground.com/history/....html#calendar So that's average high's from 87-80, and average lows from 65-58, so nice during the day but somewhat cold at night in an average year.

The official closing dates for pools are usually flexible depending on the weather since it can really vary and change when the last time you'd want the pools to be open. Right now the MGM Grand Pool Complex is scheduled to close November 28th, which is quite late, and very well could change. Wet Republic closed October 24th in 2013, so you can see that often the pool parties close before the regular pools actually close for the season.

Sometimes pools, especially party pools, can close earlier, usually in the first few weeks of October. This website, http://vegaspoolseason.com/vegas-poo...ing-dates.html, gives approximate close dates based on former closing dates. It seems that they don't expect any party pool to stay open past October 15th, but that could be them being conservative or Wet Republic last year being an anomaly.

It's really hard to get solid information on the subject, but some pools close earlier than others, and for large pool complexes sometimes some of the pools in the complex might be closed while others are left open later in the season.

Overall though I would think most hotels will have at least one pool open in mid-October but don't be surprised if their pool party is closed or perhaps they have reduced hours or have shut down a portion of their pools due to decreased demand. I'd try for as early in October as possible if pools are important to your trip. Also you can call the specific hotels you are thinking of booking and ask, but again often times they wouldn't have the specific date until closer to when you would be arriving.
