Hey guys, I got a quote for Light on Sat Aug 30, and for our budget we'd be seated upstairs. My question is, is upstairs a completely different room or is a raised level or balcony overlooking the main dance floor? Is it a good setup?

Yes it is...I have been to LIGHT numerous times (Over 12)You for sure want tier 1,2,3 tables ie the lower tables....Staying as close to the main dance floor as possible...

yes. the tables up there are worth it, especially the ones towards the center. ask your host if with a good handshake you can get seated towards the center. its a mezzanine that overlooks the bottom tables and dancefloor. there is a bar upstairs as well so there will be plenty of foot traffic to grab guys/girls.

Correct you won't pay cover. Your table costs take care of that. You will pay whatever the cost is of your bottles, tax, waitress gratuity. Most on this forum recommended tipping your host, security guy, and runner/busboy as well.

Don't forget you need to multiply your minimum by 38.1% and add in the handshake and tips to get your all-in.

That is the minimum you will spend but id add another $100-250 on top due to bottles not coming out evenly priced to hit the min.

was in the mezz corner for my bachelor party (booked bottle when we were inside the venue, done by my groomsmen) - and we had a damn good time up there. plus the view is very cool from up there as well. we were seated next to a bachelorette party so we had a good time with the people around us. def. worth it, if it's in budget go for it.
