Laidback Luke was solid when I saw him last year. I'm on the fence with Dirty South. To me he's a hit or miss.
Happily sponsoring the Las Vegas economy since July 1996

i think the Vice gig on the 22nd is a private/soft launch party not open to the public.

honestly? no idea - don't have that info yet
could be $0 like some big clubs do... or could be enough to order a few things off the $1 menu at McDonalds

Isn't Laidback Luke resident at Light? THat's awesome though. Nice to see more events being planned. I'm a BIG BIG fan of Vice so that will be great too.

Resident is a very loosely used term when it comes to the Light venues... Some of these guys are there once a year

Haha like Skrillex was there maybe three times in the first year.

Skrillex is kind of a bad example as he was taking a lot of (planned) time off last year from clubs. He's been in Vegas a lot this year to make up for it.

if you play consistently in vegas every 3 or 4 months and you are a top level dj, then that's a residency IMO.

most djs are signed to 1 or 2 year deals so that's what you see them rarely switching mid-year. Avicii and Kaskade had special contracts they negotiated that let them play 2 venues (XS and Marquee).

LBL and Dirty South were under contract at Light and they are no longer from what i've been told. So that's why you are seeing them at the SLS. You may see one of them back at Light in the future.
