Brits Abroad in September Itinery

Hey guys in september there will be 9 guys going on our trip to vegas this is the first time we've gone in such a big group. The last time I was there, there were only three of us and it was all our first time over the age of 21 (I'd been before but I was 19 at the time) so we didn't have a clue where to go but we still had a pretty good time.

Current plan is; (provisional)

3/9- weds
we get in at about 11 on the weds night so was thinking of doing drais after-hours? I looked on the website and it says its open on thursdays which I think means it will be open thursday early hours?

4/9- thurs
day club -TAO beach?
night- LAX? We went there last year and it was pretty good.

5/9 day club-wet republic?
nightclub- deadmau5 at XS

6/9 sat
Day club-rehab?
night- martin garrix at hakkasan

7/9 sun
dayclub-encore beach club?
nightclub not decided on that, was thinking drais as its the only other club thats open that we've not been too. I think bank is open on a sunday as well but we went there last year and didn't really like it.

nightclub-marquee?

dayclub-marquee?

Any advice on what days we should swap around as it's the first time we're doing day clubs as we didn't do any last year and also what nightclubs we should swap around/or any that I've missed out that we should go to instead?

Also could anyone tell me should I get in touch with each individual host for each day/night club or will one be able to do the lot for us and get us a good deal? and approx how much for a table for deadmau5 and martin garrix?

OK so lets go day by day

Weds: The answer to your question on Drais after hours is no

Thurs:Tao Beach or Liquid. LAX is probably the worst club in Vegas mate. Its total shite compared to others.
Look at: Drais or Tryst for bottle specials (2 for 595), buy 1 get 1 free at haze

Fri: solid plan, i wouldnt go wet republic though, its over rated and theres much better day clubs, also it wont be that busy friday. got to tao beach or liquid
Night plan is fine. For 9 guys at XS for an indoor table around $4k to $5k before tax/grat etc

Sat: Rehab = NO.
Go to Marquee Day Club
Night at Hak is fine, but bare in mind its the most expensive club in vegas. at least $5k for a main room table

Sun: EBC is the best pool in vegas and sundays where its at so yes
Night plan - Sunday is XS nightswim, Bank, Hakkasan or Drais. I would be going XS nightswim its amazing. You can get bottle specials here if you ask the right people

Mon: No dayclubs open except Bare at mirage. FYI pool parties are only thurs which is pretty slow, fri which is also fairly slow, sat, sun. They dont run other days. Its a saturday/sunday thing
Yes to marquee Monday good shout

Tues: Again - no pools open so you cant go MDC
Id be going to Hyde Tuesday night

Tell your boys to budget around $500 a night. Thats what it'll end up being, at least on the weekend nights.

Three of us are already flying out weds afternoon get in at 11pm but the other group (not completely confirmed yet) will be getting in earlier than us. What if we got a table at Light(I suggest Light because we went there last year and were impressed nothing like the clubs in the UK in a good way!) would me and the other two be able to go in later on say 12:30 after we've got our bags had chance to get changed and get to light or will they not allow that?

Friday where would you suggest to go as a day club?

Saturday what is bad about rehab? what alternative would you suggest? A few are saying they want to do wet republic on the saturday instead of friday, I had a look and NERVO is on that day is that worth a shout or should we look elsewhere?

I suppose we'll have to give Bare a go on the monday and then stay round the pool tuesday daytime.

some tips to start
1. Main tip- always check club lineups/events/who the dj is and compare with other clubs, find what you like! You can do this on there websites or wantickets.com
2. Most nightclubs open around 11pm with headline dj on at 1am going till around 5am
3. most pool parties open around 11am with headline dj on at 3pm going till around 6pm.
4. you can either do tables or just entry
5. For just entry you want to do presale tickets
6. For just entry Sunday-Thursday nights you can usually get free entry on a guestlist/ vipforfree host
7. For tables its usually 1 bottle per group of 4 to start then up from there for better location etc.
Its important to ask about bottle prices, taxes/tip which run 28%-40% on top depending on the venue, table location
8. For tables Sunday-Thursday you can usually get bottle specials ex. two vodka choice for $600 etc
9. on the lower minimum tables- they usually want you there right at open say 10pm so if you get there at 10pm are you going to be able to make your liquor/bottles last 5, 7 hours?

weds- light -remember headliner on at 1am
thurs day- all pretty slow
thurs night- encore beach night pool party/hakkasan/drais/ tao/tryst
friday day- better then thursday but still slower then the weekend

In Texas we have In-N-Out, Wendys, and Whataburger. I'd take In-N-Out last out of all of 'em.

No I've been to america a few times but I've never ventured to a wendy's or taco bell. I have heard stories about wendy's though about things being found in the food (bad things) haha think I'll steer clear of it. To be honest last year when we went we pretty much ate that pick up stix's in the excalibur. Breakfast lunch dinner most days then mcdonalds in luxor after a club (we stayed in the luxor).

UK McDonalds is a million times better. I can't stand American McDonalds, but I love it everywhere else, especially the UK. That basic 99p bacon cheeseburger hits the spot, but it's even better when they bring out special menu items and themed burgers.

Go to Taco Bell. You need to do this to get the proper US experience.

OK so your thing when you arrive late. Yep - as long as your boys are all set up and running at the table. Just call the host that set it up when you arrive and tell him the situation. Key is get there as soon as you possibly can. Dont hang about. You should be OK but dont make your host wait around.

Friday day club I would go to EBC - Its the best pool in Vegas. But then its massive so if you want a crazy party then try Liquid or Tao Beach that is smaller so gets more crazy quicker. Rehab is the poorest in Vegas. It gets lots of coverage in this country cos of the papers writing about "American Pool Party Rehab... xyxyxyxyxyx" Same deal with Wet Republic. Lots of coverage, nowhere near the best.

For Saturday - again Wet Republic isnt up there. On Saturday if Kaskade is playing you should be at Marquee Day Club for Kaskade. It'll blow up and its the bollocks. Just go and dont question it. Its a hundred times better than anyone at Wet Republic.

I like Wet, but at the end of the day its a rectangular pool with one bar. It isnt a nicely designed pool area. You go to the likes of Encore Beach, Marquee Day Club or Drais youll see what I mean, check the pics of them all online and youll see what I mean. They get big crowds cos of the DJs that play there.

Remember in Vegas its a big "EDM" craze right now. All the DJ's play a very similar set and will play more of the tracks they produce. I dont follow artists im following venues cos they all play similar stuff. Saying that, Nervo put on a good show. I just wouldnt be going Wet Republic at all unless im staying at MGM cos then its easy and doesnt require cabs etc to get to.

Bare's a good shout for Monday. Just remember by then you've been on it for days and nights so probably wont even make it!

Nope thats wrong. Light is most definately open on Wednesdays.

Another wednesday option is Surrender. But Light is where its at Weds nights.

Would I be able to set it up at LIGHT with a host and then pass on details of who to meet etc to someone in our group as myself and two others (I think I've said before I'm not sure) will be getting to vegas at 11 if the flight isn't delayed so if the other 7 walk in, would we be allowed to get in once we're ready and at mandalay bay?

I checked marquee for that weekend and it says 'wet wonderland' do you have any clue as to what that may be?

Yeah since I first posted I've found out that 7 of the group are going home sunday afternoon which is the day we originally planned for encore beach so I'm going to put forward the idea of going friday instead only thing is theres a guy called max vangeli playing and I'm not deeply into my EDM so I've not heard of him, will the crowd be big for him? I'm guessing a cabana would be a lot cheaper on a friday because its not a saturday or sunday or am I wrong in thinking that?
