I reached out to a promoter recently about getting a table for 5 people with a minimum of $1500. He said best option would be a small table at the center back row. I am not familiar with light's layout, is that reasonable price for the location? Thanks for any info

Ask Noah Ortiz (323-919-6529) that same question and I am pretty sure you are going to get told that those #'s don't match up.
Sultan/Ned aren't HUGE but they are rapidly getting better and wont bring lower mins, especially to Tier 1. They regularly play LIGHT venues and have played XS before.
$1500 Back row means Tier 2 which is tightly packed and in the mix and usually starts at 2.5k+ on Saturday nights.
That all in comes to around $2300.
Off of past experiences I can tell you that getting 1.5k downstairs on a Saturday for a mid-high DJ will be difficult to make happen. Especially center. Impossible? No but your promoter is going to need mad pull/favors to get something like that to happen.
1.5k will put you somewhere near center upstairs, the higher the shake the closer to center.
Maybe with like a $350-500 shake you could get 1.5k downstairs going through as best a host as possible and showing up at 10:00 PM.
First step though, throw your numbers at Noah and see what he says."The man on the top of the mountain didn't fall there"

sounds like you might be new to vegas
just wanted to mention a few things first
1. on the lower minimums- they usually want you there right at open say 10pm
2. generally the clubs open around 10pm with headline djs on at 1am going till like 5am
3. so if you get there at 10pm are you going to be able to make your liquor/bottles last 5, 7 hours?
4. ask about bottle prices to help you plan for example if bottles $650 each and you have $1500 min your only getting two
5. generally its 1 bottle per 4 people- then higher for better location
all that said there was mention of the dj- you should go with what you like
will just mention Zedd is at XS that night which is probably a bigger general admission draw and at xs your bill is going to be 10% cheaper because each venue charges different taxes.
So its worth reaching out to a light host and seeing what they offer and maybe a xs host.
