    How would you rank the current nightclubs? and why?
    I'm not very knowledgeable about the matter so I can't really say, but I would like to see what other people think.

    XS, Hakkasan, Light, Marquee;
    Hyde, Drais, Surrender, Tryst, 1OAK, Tao, Pure, Haze;
    Bank, Voodoo, Lavo, Lax, Rain, Vanity;

    Lines represent different Tiers and clubs are listed in order in each Tier.

    Personal preferences - based, in order of importance on: crowd, club itself (tables, dance floor, plan), music, staff, amenities (inside/outside, etc.)...

      Wouldn't you consider Hyde and Lavo to be lounges? Or are they both? What about Voodoo (Rio) and Tryst?

        I'm sure JayMan just forgot about Tryst. It definitly goes to line #2 along with Surrender, 1Oak, Tao...etc

        As per Lavo, it is now a lounge only, no more nightclub at Palazzo.
        Hyde is a lounge till 10:00PM bu turns into a nightclub on weekend and every Tuesday for their industry night.
        Trip # 11:
        Halloween 2015, Encore

          Exactly - good point on Tryst... definitely in line with Surrender and such... I'll edit my post accordingly.

            Thanks for your input!
            Is it possible to rank lounges the same way we rank nightclubs?
            And what can you tell me about Lavo? We are planning on stopping there fro pre-game before heading to TAO

                I separate the house/edm mega club spots from the top 40/ hip hop spots. I don't even think you can put em in the same category.. I just don't think bigger means better and the big clubs rarely have actual performers like the smaller top 40 clubs. I think that's a key point people miss and just focus on button pushers. Last week saw RUN DMC at 1Oak, sooo much fun and a group I grew up on.

                EDM - Light/XS tie, Drais (because of layout i put above last 3) Marq, Hakk, Surr
                Top 40 HH - Tryst/1Oak/Haze tie, Chateau (rooftop party only), Hyde/Bank tie

                  I think the lineup/event/who the dj/performer is has a big impact
                  another good point on edm vs top 40/ hip hop

                  xs w avicii, david guetta, skrillex, deadmau5, zedd
                  hakkasan w calvin harris, tiesto
                  marquee w kaskade

                  light/drais/surrender
                  tryst/tao/1oak/haze
                  hyde/bank
