Club Hopping, Good Idea?

Do you guys recommend club hopping? There are a few nights where there are two clubs that my group really wants to go to and we can't decide so we're tempted to try two. For instance: on Tuesday night we want to go to 1OAK and then Drais Yacht Club. We really want to go to 1OAK because we've heard this is the place to be for hip hop!!! But then we also want to go to Drais because, well a night time rooftop pool party sounds amazing! We don't want to miss either. I was told that guest list for Drais closes at 1 so I figured we could spend a few hours at 1OAK and then head to Drais. Wednesday night we're thinking Surrender. Thursday night we definitely want try Hakkasan but then we're also considering EBC at Night. Is two clubs in one night overdoing it? I know that there are going to be things that we'll have to leave for next time but it's just so hard to choose! Any thoughts or suggestions on our itinerary are welcome. We're aiming for clubs with more hip hop and top 40s or at least a good combination of hip hop, top 40s, and electronic as opposed to primarily electronic. Thanks everyone

Club hopping never works. Dont do it.

Just pick a place and enjoy it - I mean the first place youll be constantly watching the clock and what happens if you leave it too late? You've bailed out of a place to go and stand in a queue for ages and probably not get in!?! Fuck that.

You're also planning to go from upscale nightclubs like 1Oak and Hakkasan to night time pool parties.

Now XS nightswim is fine for that cos its a mix of people outside and only some go in the pool, but from what I see of EBC at night its a total pool party with very few people going along in normal night time attire. You'll just wish you'd stayed at Hakkasan...

Considering doing the same on a Tuesday in August. I club hopped on a Monday not long after Marquee opened. Hit up Marquee from open til about midnight, then bounced over to XS. If you are doing GA or GL, I say give it a shot!

Playing with fire on this one! The chances for failure are high and you don't want to end up stuck. This should only probably be attempted with a small group of 3 or less because it's nothing harder than getting one of your crew to leave in the middle of a hookup. You'll have to possibly split up and it's just a slippery slope. But if you have a strong host connect it could be possible...

It is possible but the mindset should be club hop only if the initial club sucks. There's no other reason to leave especially if you're having a good time already.

My experience with this is as follows, this can be done but you need to be careful and have a plan to avoid line and cover charges:

The bad:
4 couples, two want to go to light two want to go to xs. We start at light at 10, get in no problem but the two girls who want to be at xs complain non-stop until we leave at 12:00. Takes 45 minutes to get from light to xs, buzz from pregame and light are fading. Wait in long line at xs, everyone is now complaining. Get into xs at 1:00, need to rebuild fun momentum but that is not possible. Night sucks! Two covers, no buzz, felt like we missed an opportunity and the night was wasted.

The good:
This was a while ago so not a lot of relevant clubs. Staying at ceasars, we decide to pull an all nighter and go directly to the airport afterward for a 10am flight. After pool nap until 9:00pm go to novo (sp) in palms eat dinner, the get us into moon for free with no wait at 11:30, get bored of moon go to rain at 1:00, because we are stamped we get into rain with no wait for free. Bored after an hour go back to ceasars to pure, had free passes and because it is now around 2 we get in for free no wait. Pure closes around 4:30, we use VCard passes for drai's and do after hours until 7:30. We go back to hotel grab bags and head to airport. Everyone who was there brings this night up a lot because it was a ton of fun. The only downside was the flight back to the east coast, that was terrible.

Alright, thanks guys! I guess we'll just have to go with one club per night. You're right, it doesn't make sense to leave if you're having a great time! Don't wanna leave when the party is starting to get good!
