When/who to tip! Help please!

Hi everyone!

Group of 8 girls going to Vegas for July 4th weekend/birthday celebration. We booked a lilypad at EBC on July 3 for $1300 through Anthony K and bottle service at Tryst (2 bottles of goose for $450) through another promoter . How much/who/when do we tip? Thanks for your help, don't want to short anyone!

OK so the $1300 is a minimum spend at EBC, so youll need to add 28% on top of that so total $1664. You can tip Anthony if you like, depends if you wanna build a relationship with him. This is the "handshake" for setting you up. Discretionary but I usually shoot for $200 for low-ish minimums. That's your total to $1864, bout $250 each.

For Tryst i'd tip $300 to get a better table on your low spend. Add your gratuity and tax is and thats $876 total. Give your security/busser the remaining cash out of $1000 and thats that.

tomm0 gives good advice. Rule of thumb is tip your host, your security, and your busboy/runner. I would throw Anthony probably $200 tip (but really, whatever you are comfortable with is more than fine). I generally start with $20 to the security guy and $20 to the runner when I first introduce myself. Then I tip them more as I ask for more. So i start with a general $20 to security but then later if we are getting up to walk around, throw another $20 to watch our stuff, etc. For Tryst, I would recommend reaching back out to your host and asking about table location. And depending on location and how important it is to you, discuss the tip you would give to get a better table.

+1 to this. always let the hosts know that you will be tipping and tip when you meet them outside the venue/ropes

Knowing this is not a top nightclub, I was wondering if anyone knew how much and who to tip in this scenario. I don't want my ignorance to show when I arrive. I've never done bottle service before so any and all information is greatly appreciated.

Gold is small, no table location advantage, maybe a few bigger couches, but it's really small. There' you're just tipping the host, there's only one there, now I believe, Jack Ross. Cool guy, good friend, ask for him upon arrival.
