BS vs GA on LDW - rankings

We’re 8 guys hitting Vegas for LDW (I know, awful ratio and it'll be expensive!)… 4 of them have no idea what they have agreed to – but I want them to enjoy it to the fullest for their first trip and thus plan on hitting Tier1 pools and clubs. Preference is definitely for EDM over Hip Hop / Top40 but we wouldn’t mind a game changer for a night if need be.

I’ve been to LDW in the past, we’ll do 4 pool parties and 4 nightclubs (from Thursday pm to Sunday night and leaving Monday morning), and our budget would allow for only 2 BS events at 4k$ all in each night – so probably 2,5k$ before t+t+LET+h. We’re not talking top real estate at those Tier1 clubs obviously but a safe spot to pull ladies and have a more convenient place for conversations (wouldn’t mind Pavilion at Hak, Mezz at Light, backtable at XS, etc. with 4 guys doing presale to ensure a low minimum)

My question is then, given those figures and timeframe, what would be your ranking to determine those 2 BS events because I will lock-in presales ticket prices as soon as possible for the other 6 events.

I’m thinking BS for clubs – rather than pools – because it seems that we can always get a good spot by the pool if we get there soon enough and at clubs getting to the bar and/or dance floor can be a hassle… but let me know if you think otherwise.

My ranking would be (in order of GA friendliness):
Pools: EBC > Daylight > Wet > Drais > MDC… add others if you wish (Tao and Liquid for Thursday);
Clubs: Light > XS > Drais > MNC > Hak… add others (Tryst, Tao for Thursday).

Drais is only from images I’ve seen – and any news on Life’s opening at SLS ?

Arriving late Wednesday and leaving early monday morning on LDW - thus, 4 pool parties and 4 nightclubs from Thursday August 28 until Sunday August 31

At that range, you probably don't need to waste money on presales to be honest. All eight should be able to walk in.

Good to know ccc... what's your take with 2,5k$ (4k$ all in) for each night...

1- do presale on Thursday/Friday night - and get a table for Saturday/Sunday (not a premium spot at Tier1 clubs obviously);
2- the opposite, get 'better' location tables on Thursday/Friday and live the mayhem Saturday/Sunday with presale...

I'm waiting for all the lineups to be announced before committing, but my thoughts would be: trying to get a Pavilion table at Hak on friday night, probably Tiesto there since he's doing Wet on Saturday afternoon (don't know if that is feasible for 4k$ all in) and doing BS for Alesso at Light on Saturday... Thus looking at Tryst, Drais or EBC at Night (Zedd) on Thursday and presales also for Sunday night at XS (relatively GA friendly - especially if it's Nightswim)...

I definitely want for our 4 Vegas virgins to see Hak, Light and XS... and obviously we have never been to Drais and Life (if it's still opening on LDW ?)...

I'm not sure on the lineups but that might be key in helping with the decision. At some places on a busy weekend and $2500 table may not be an ideal location and maybe not even in the main area of the club at some of these venues. In that case, you may want to do tables on Thurs/Sun because you may have a better experience with a more prime table on a Thurs vs a shit table on the weekend. Then you'd go with the GA friendlier spots for the weekend. Tough to call, but I'd def wait for the DJs. Drais, is very GA friendly I think and a nice wow factor. Nice layout for sure .

Wouldn't count on tiesto for sat...
MDW tiesto played sat at wet and sat night at hakkasan (hardwell was friday)
Sat and Sunday are the busiest days so expect the best djs...would guess tiesto/calvin but just a guess...

Im also there LDW waiting for the scheldules to be released. We are getting table at every club is my friend bachelor party.

Hakk is gonna be expensive MDW (i doubt 4k all in) and main room is the way to go if youre doing hakkasan otherwise just stick to xs,light,drais,marquee...plenty of clubs to go...i woudlnt go hakk GA or pavillion or anything but main room, the layout is terrible for the other locations

Thanks for the info Kaz - that's why I'm looking on a daily basis for lineups, wanting to lock-in presale prices to clubs we won't do BS (for example Alesso at Light/Saturday is a steal at 65$ right now!)... I surely want to go to Hak also, but those good location BS prices for Saturday/Sunday will be out of this world and we all know GA there can be a hassle... might try and get a table there on Thursday night - and stick with XS, Light, Drais for the weekend (can't think of doing presale at MNC even though it's Kaskade and Armin at 60$)... any news on Life?

I'm with you that Hak main room prices are out of this world for big weekend events... It's a tough call because it's a total mayhem when doing GA - other than the back left bar - and I want my Vegas virgin buddies to get to see Hak... I'm guessing the lineup is Nervo or Aoki (Th) / Hardwell (Fr) / Tiesto (St) / Harris (Su)...

Thanks for the info Kaz - that's why I'm looking on a daily basis for lineups, wanting to lock-in presale prices to clubs we won't do BS (for example Alesso at Light/Saturday is a steal at 65$ right now!)... Agreed. I haven't really heard much about Life....at least not compared to when Light and Hak were opening and it seemed like everyone was thirsting for info. Maybe it's just me and I haven't been paying as much attention?
