Martin Solveig vs. Gareth Emery - July 4th night (Fri)

Hello folks.

I'm planning a quick weekend getaway July 4 ~ July 6 with presale General Admission on Friday night.

The choice is between

Martin Solveig @ XS vs. Gareth Emery @ Marquee.

From what I know, Solveig plays a lot of the "happy upbeat make-you-feel-good" songs. The thing is, we are more into the hard club-bangers like Hardwell and Tiesto style.

Would Gareth Emery be a better choice? (Even though GA is pretty nightmareish @ Marquee on a busy weekend?)

Go with Martin Solveig. He'll play the "hard club-bangers" and XS is more GA friendly, even more so if the outside is open. Gareth Emery is more trance-ish and progressive.

Note: I've never been to Marquee, but it seems to have a rep for not being good for people without a table.

I want to..badly.

But I heard that Hakkasan GA is 10 times worse than Marquee's circle of death (and I try to avoid Marquee when I go with my lady, because of the circle of death)

Gareth Emery is amazing live but he plays more trance/progressive than the usual club hits

Yes. Xs is more GA friendly. If you're uncomfortable, I don't care who the DJ is, you won't have a good time. Marquee isn't that bad if you're ok hanging out mostly by the pool area. XS, you may have more luck actually partying in the main room/df.
