  • Urgent!!! Sat June 14: which club play Hip Hop? HELP PLS!!!

    Hi Everyone!!

There are so many clubs in Vegas but I learned most of them plays EDM. I was trying to research every club to see which one does Hip Hop that night but I am running out of time. Need all of your expertise please!!!

Some info about my group & I:
-group of 6 ladies in late 20s
-we all like hip hop/RnB (no offense to EDM but that's just our preference)
-would like a classy club so we can be in heels & sexy dresses
-expect the crowd of the club to be roughly the same age as well

Any clubs that satisfies the above??
I was thinking of 1OAK but I googled it up and ppl with recent reviews were bashing it pretty bad... and I decided to drop it after a few people mentioned the crowd was 45+.
Next, I was thinking XS as Lil Jon will be there on June 14, but I learned he does mostly EDM and not hip hop... is that right???

Thank you in advance for your suggestions!!!! MUCH appreciated!!!!

I'll be at XS on Saturday. According to the host he will do about 70% EDM and 30% hiphop. YouTube his name in Vegas and you can see how he DJs.

Other places would be HAZE, Cheateu, LAX, TAO and Bank. I'm pretty sure The Bank has someone performing whose a hip hop artist.

I really think you'd be OK with 1OAK. Been a few times, always have fun, good crowd, didn't seem "OLD"..haha Music was good as well.

        Cheers,

Actually, it only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.

A good friend would bail you out of jail, but your best friend would be the one sitting next to you saying, "damn that was awesome".

I live for the nights I can't remember with the people I'll never forget.

Marquee and Hakkasan both have dedicated hip hop rooms, these are both really classy clubs

If you like Hip Hop and want to dress up you should look into Hakkasan and Marquee, both clubs have hip hop rooms, i find you get that perfect balance...just make sure the boom box room in Marquee or Ling Ling in Hak is open

the only online reviews you should trust are from here...People only complain about their nightlife experiences on Yelp (I'm a yelp elite members as well if that matters lol)

My top 3 picks for hip-hop clubs are 1OAK, the Bank, and Haze. Tao and Lavo are other choices too.
              Next trip: ???

Lol! Donniejay is right about yelp.
I like 1Oak for hip hop, especially when the small back room is open. The Bank has been hit or miss music wise for me. But when it's good, it's gooooood.
Not a huge fan of the "hip-hop" room at Marquee. It gets really crowded especially when a big name DJ is in the main room.

Not sure Boom Box at Marquee is what OP is looking for. Personally I think Lil Jon at XS is worth a shot, otherwise I'd recommend 1OAK.

Also agree on Yelp comments - I am also a Yelp elite and the nightclub reviews are hilarious, seems like it's all either people who have never been to a nightclub before or shills. Yelp for Vegas in general is actually pretty bad.

                      Thanks everyone for your inputs!!!!!!!!
Ok so seems like 1OAK is the top suggested one so far? I looked into it again and see that DJ Que is there for this Sat.. but seems like he plays EDM... Anyone has been there when DJ Que is there?

Also I was thinking of The Bank cuz there is an event for Eddie Blackmon's bday + Performance by Eric Bellinger .. I actualy don't have a clue who they are but it seems like hip hop-ish?? lol Can anyone clue me in on that and if The Bank will suit our needs?

I will look into Hakkasan and Haze a bit more.

And actually I am really thankful for you guys bringing up about Yelp, as yes that's where all the bad reviews come from. I will read it with one eye open from now on. heeh

                        45+??? That's absurd. Don't believe that.

I was at 1oak last year around Halloween time and had a blast when DJ Que was spinning. He was spinning top 40s and hip hop.

1OAK sounds like what you are looking for. Definitely not a crowd of 45+. Like all Vegas clubs, you will get all age ranges. I've been to 1OAK on a Saturday when DJ Que was there and it was almost all Hip-Hop, with just a little top 40/edm thrown in. I'd highly recommend 1OAK.
Lil Jon at XS would be good as well. I haven't seen Lil Jon since Surrender in 2011 so I don't know if his style has changed at all to be more EDM based?
