  • Stag/Bachelor Party 2015 HELP!! :)

    Hi All,

This is my first post on here. Me and my friends (10-12 guys) are coming out to Vegas for a Bachelor Party and we plan on staying for 6/7 nights.

I wanted some advise on how far in advance you should book tables / bottles service for the clubs? Are we talking a few weeks before or 1-2 months before?

Also is there any website or links that displays what DJ's are playing at what clubs and the nights they are performing?

Any clues on how much a table would be at a top club like Hakkasan on a Saturday night, with a top DJ playing in the main room for 10-12 people.

    Appreciate any help.

    Cheers,

    Roger

Welcome to the board. Will try to answer your questions.

DJ list comes out 4-8 weeks prior to their appearance on the club's site. My suggestion is once you see the night with the dj schedule listed contact the host. All prices are dependent on supply and demand.

With that said I would suggest you read through the Hakkasan link to get an idea of what has been going on re pricing. Main room with a top name dj $3k minimum, possibly more if we're talking Calvin or Tiesto. Again supply and demand may bump that up and when you are going. Holiday weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day), EDC, and such blow the prices up.

    http://forums.jackcolton.com/showthr...hread-Hakkasan

Bottle deals are offered at the tier 2 clubs where the $$$ value goes further. Also if you're talking next late spring or summer, pools may be an option where a lot of the big name dj's also play and the $$$ minimum is for food and beverage for the whole day plus the real estate you are getting.

GET THE GROUP'S FINANCIAL COMMITMENT UP FRONT!!!!!

You need to see where everyone stands in regards to how much they want to put in. You may have different types of money earners so you may be thinking $500/each for 1 night where some may be thinking $200 and it crosses up the plans. If you want to have a good 1 night for the groom I would say $6k all in or $500/guy. You have to remember on top of the minimum is the state tax of 8%, the 20% autogratuity to the waitress, the 10% LET tax for the top name dj playing, the handshake to the host and the tips to the busboy and security. So if you use this $$$ number your minimum commit is $4k all in of 6k will cover it.

Rule of thumb for our group is 3 people per bottle so low ball 4 bottles at $500/bottle minimum you are at $2k right there w/o buying any other drinks, shots, etc. Now add in bringing women back for drinks, which takes liquor out of the bottle, the bottles and money goes fast. Now add hosts want you there by 11 PM at the latest, you have a group of10-12 which there are limited locations to handle that size which means higher minimums to do so, etc.

Hope this gets you started and cheers.

      Great reply thanks :-)

Of the 6 or 7 nights we are staying there, we would be looking to do 4 nightclubs and maybe 2 day clubs with a budget of around $2000 per person across the week. So maybe $300-350 per person each event Day/Night Club..Each member in our group is aware of the costs and everyone will be putting in queal amounts so we should be fine.

So in theory a $20k Alcohol kitty to go wild with! ut obviously the weekends will be a lot more expensive then our midweek nights our and possibly our day clubs.

There are some great forums on here, i will give them all a read to get clued up before our trip out there.

      Thanks again for your reply.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news here. But $2000 to attend 6 events is just too low mate.

So lets scratch the tables/cabanas at pools. You cant afford those and you need to save your money for nightclub tables. Go to pool parties on pre-sale tickets that will be about $50 each plus your drink money

If you guys have $2k for nightclubs alone thats more like it. Gives you 4 nights out, $500 each event.

If you wanna go Hakkasan, youre gonna need to spend silly money to get a main room table to house 12 guys I think. Forget Hakkasan, its too expensive to get what you want on a Friday/Saturday. You're doing yourself out of a better night elsewhere.

I'd be booking $4k minimum spends for the nightclubs. that leaves $1520 for the tax/gratuity/tips at 38% and then you have $480 left. $80 for security leaves you a $400 handshake tip to your host of choice which should secure the big table you require.

A 4k minimum gives you 6 litres of spirits at $600 a bottle (about average) and then $400 left for shots or beers etc.

As the other guy says, clubs run special deals on nights outside Friday & Saturday. Some will run Buy 1 Get 1 Free or Buy 2 get 1 Free on Friday and Saturdays but thats limited to places like 1Oak and Tryst on the main nights.

        So i'd do this

Thursday: Drais bottle special / Tryst bottle special / Haze bottle special (all $595 for 2 grey goose)
Friday: Go Drais if you dont go Thursday. Otherwise perhaps XS or Light (dont go XS Saturday night, its a $500 compulsory handshake)
Saturday: Anywhere really except XS cos of the handshake mentioned. Id go Hyde with the $4k table + $400 shake youll get a dancefloor table or Light
Sunday: XS bottle special ($595 for 2 grey goose). If you MUST go Hakkasan go Sunday night with a $4k min you might sneak a main room table. Or Drais if you havent done it previously. Bottle specials here sunday too.
Monday: XS bottle special ($595 for 2 grey goose) or Marquee
        Tuesday: Hyde or 1Oak

Im sure you will get into clubs with a $2k min - youll just get poxy tables. Go with $500 per man per night and then you will be set with loads of booze, and with a $400 handshake that should secure you excellent tables. If you are clever with the bottle specials youll leave BIG money for a potential Friday or Saturday big time Tier 1 job. The trick here is to be realistic. If you spend $300ish each youre low-balling yourself. Just be clever with bottle specials at different clubs. Its all about going on the right days....

As for pool parties, cabanas are tempting, but they're as expensive as tables, you dont drink as much in the day and they will break your budget too much. Just go in presale like mentioned and play it by ear. I prefer that way anyway its more fun mingling and moving around at pools. You need the table at the nightclubs far more than you do a cabana at pool parties.

While your budget is good to work with it will depend HEAVILY on what is going on in Vegas that weekend.

IF there are no huge conventions/holidays/events (like a fight/sporting thing)/festivals etc then you will have a lot of wiggle room to work with.

After that you will want to check www.wantickets.com to see schedules. Some clubs have schedules 2-3 months before, some maybe a month before.

After you have determined your dates, the DJ's playing and what clubs you will want to hit, then you can start thinking about dayclubs/night clubs for BS and GA.

4 Night clubs/2 Dayclubs (bottle service) will be pretty much undoable unless you have the greatest of luck and its literally thanks giving when you go.

What you can do is choose 1 big dayclub day, 1 big night club day and then sprinkle some medium/basic days throughout.

With 10 guys and 20k you will want to drop 6k All in for a big night club, 6-7k all in for a cabana for a dayclub, 3k all in for a killer thursday special, another 3k for a sunday special and then whatever you have left for stripclub/wednesday special etc.

To make it the best weekend possible (which DJ doesnt usually win over location/bottle amount) you will want to lay out the battle plan like above. Personally I would be going best deal over the rest.

For example I am going at the end of july. LIGHT released their lineups and they are nothing special for my dates. All the rest of the big clubs (EDM is my fancy) are not playing anything special either EXCEPT for Zedd at XS. Zedd is a huge name and will be costly. While I could book my group there for Zedd we wouldnt get NEARLY what I can probably push for at LIGHT for Steve Powers. To me it will be a lot more worth it to get a lower min and much better location for my money than see Zedd at XS. I will just focus more on the crowd than I normally do on the DJ.

Hope that helps. It's hard to throw numbers out if we dont know a date.

Great replies thanks again to you all! I think we defo have to reconsider our plans and go big on one day club and one nightclub ($5/6k) and work our budget around the other nights a bit better.

The plan is June 2015. I've been in contact with Justen Crews, who has also been very helpful in assisting me and providing me some useful tips.

Thanks again everyone for your replies!

The good thing is, the best nights on some nights are also the same ones where they run the bottle specials. For me, XS nightswim is the best place to be Sunday at the moment, and they also happen to run a bottle special that night.

I guess Drais will probably be the place to be Thursday once it settles - again another bottle special.

Mondays are only XS or Marquee - and XS runs a bottle special.

So its not hard to spend ALOT less on some nights and then splurge on Friday & Saturday
