  • Club for 40 year olds?

Going to Vegas in June with some buddys, all in our early 40s. What club should we hit? Is there one we will be comfortable at? Or should we stick to the lounges?

    Appreciate the advice!

    Well

    Music type?
    High energy or laid back?
    Tier 1 or Tier 2?
    Bottle service or general admission?

I predict that all the replies to your thread will state the same thing.

There is really no "age" thing in vegas. Everyone has people of all ages doing all kinds of crazy stuff. From the 21's to the oldest people ever.

If you are uncomfortable in noisy, dark, crowded places then most the big clubs will not be for you UNLESS you get bottle service. Then you get a loud, dark not so crowded (unless you choose it to be) place.

No one cares how old you are. Just that you are genuine and having a good time. Good thing about vegas is everyone just is happy to be there and is trying to cram as much fun into as little time as possible!

Looking for bottle service. Don't mind the music or dark noisy places (I'm not 80). lol Just don't want to look like a creeper with 18 year old.

      Thoughts?

I can tell you my friends are in their early/mid-30's and they are crossing their fingers that they will meet guys your age at the clubs in Vegas.

bzl, does this mean that your friends are members of the Fair Sex?
How about guys in their 50s, of which I am one?

          What clubs?
          XS/Tryst/Hakkasan/Light/etc ?

First up you won't find any 18 year olds in Vegas clubs as minimum age is 21 . Otherwise any club still fits your bill as they have plenty of people in your age group. At least from my experience there is not much difference between any of the bigger clubs when it comes to the crowd, but I admit my experience is limited to Tier 1/2 clubs (Marquee, Hakkasan, XS, Tryst, Surrender) on the weekends. I am 37 myself and will take a bunch of guys the same age to Light in a few weeks.

Age is not a problem in Vegas. Have fun and you'll fit in.
I'm 32, my friends are all my age or older than me. Yes, women.

In my experience, women who are 30 or older are a lot more fun (in many ways) than the early 20's. That said, I like women reagrdless of age. Can't keep up with the energy of the 20's, but fun to watch.

This is so VERY well said! I've been telling people this same thing for years.

Actually, it only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.

A good friend would bail you out of jail, but your best friend would be the one sitting next to you saying, "damn that was awesome".

I live for the nights I can't remember with the people I'll never forget.

If early 40s is too old for the clubs then I need to cancel my table reservations at 1OAK and Marquee in a few weeks!

I'm late 30's (turning 40 this year - and will be in Vegas on my birthday mid June) and I agree that age is a state of mind.
All clubs have a great mix but our favourite night is Tao on a Thursday night.
If you eat in the restaurant and have a main then you get into club for free and skip the lines - def worth it for men rather than paying extortionate table prices

In my next trip to Vegas it will be my sole intention to recruit/scout for women +30 in the clubs for THIS exact reason. I find they are less pretentious than the young ones... its not all about instagram photo taking etc, they usually want to drink and have fun. My host and security will be worded up from the get go.. +30 gets priority and then working down from there. 21/22 last in. lol

I haven't been looking For a man in a while, but looking At them just happens on it's own. I find men over 40 far more attractive and confident than their younger friends. Something about a man with a little gray on the temples and knowledge in his eyes. These kind of men don't get stressed out when their lady is talking with another man or dancing with her girlfriends. Only better with age, and a definitely appreciated. Need these men in the clubs to balance out the young bucks.

I am 42, and I have been going to Vegas since I was about 26 (started late), but have been going yearly for the last 8 years. The last 3 or 4 years, I always mix in my high energy spots (Tryst, Rain, Tao, Vanity, Pure, LAX, Haze, 1Oak, Marquee) with more chill spots like Gold Lounge, Foundation Room, Carnival bar, Voodoo Lounge & Ghostbar.

If you are not actively thinking about your age, you will have a blast anyplace. YOU would be the only one thinking you are out of place. If you loosen up your shirt, any age works, until you, yourself outgrow it. Funny thing is.... I have seen people that look like they are 60 partying in Vegas, and the younger people love seeing it. It's like you gain their respect for kickin it with them. LOL
