OK - so me and a group of 5 of my college buddies have booked a table at Hyde for $1,650 min. spend which comes out to $2,112 after tax and gratuity. How much should I expect to need to tip the host for a decent table? I tried to find information on this about Hyde specifically but weeding through the other posts in the forum is a pain in the ass. Thanks in advance!

Not really. He just said that $1,650 plus all the other fees would get me a "pretty good table". I've been there once before and in all honesty, there's not a bad table in the bunch. What would it take to get me something just off the dance floor (I'm not expecting to be on it at just ~$2k)?

You wont get dancefloor for $2k mate.
A table in the 70s, but not DF. This is what Chad sent me re a Saturday night in August.
Table 51 and 52-usually goes for about 2500-3k. On a low end on some nights I can squeeze ya in for 2k. Table 52 is right next to the owners table so they are usually selective about what goes there and sits only about 2-3 people. 51 seats usually about 6 ideally.
Tables in the 61 and 65 are a bit bigger and usually comfortably can fit about 12-15. Those usually go for 2-3k. On a low end 1650 normally.
Tables in the 70s is anywhere from 2-6ppl comfortably those usually go from 1100-2k. On a low end night 550. But usually at least 1100min.
And the main dance floor tables just to give an idea 41 and 43 and 31 and 33 usually go anywhere from 3500-5k+ just depending on the night and the party. Tables 32 and 42 are a bit smaller and usually do 3k for them. Although for 2 ppl I can probably sneak you on for 2500 maybe even 2k. (Sometimes we have 4 main dance floor tables instead of 6)

This may no tbe best location for you but worked well for us (8 couples). It as the table facing fountains but not the center one. It was around midnight and maybe we got better min spend but it cost us 2 bottles which were $705 each after taxes and tip. Shake was $100. I don't know if that was OK or not but I will say we had an incredible time that my friends still daydream about. Well, you've been there and know what it's like

Any questions about pricing or location please feel free to reach out. I try to be as up front as possible and it does change based on how the night is (Hyde only has 40 tables) but exactly what i sent Tom is what you can expect. There has been nights we can sneak a dance floor for 3k. There are nights that they go for no less then 5k. this past tuesday (mind you it was a real estate convention) no dfloor was less then 10k.

Also, i usually hate to "GUARANTEE" a table as things change last minute all the time in nightclubs. And unless its an extremely solid minimum i wont guarantee a spot because i would hate to be the asshole that hits you day of and tell you i cant do it. I would rather set your expectations where i think the table will be and for the people that have used me i think will agree i always try and get a better spot for my customers. But sometimes its out of my hands.
