  • Vegas Nightclub Fashion for Men

I've seen the thread for shoes, but nothing for overall fashion. So I thought I'd start one.

What do you all like wearing out to Vegas clubs? What's your go to style? Shirt? Jeans? Jacket?

I was considering posting something like this for a while now; kudos to you for doing it before me, as it is something that is always a point of contention for me.

Suit, slacks, and a tie are too much, of course - unless you want people to think you work for the hotel, or something. Typically I will go with a nice pair of jeans, dress shoes, and a blazer with a v-neck or a nondescript button-up underneath; I stay away from Ed Hardy-style button-up shirts - collared shirts with a bunch of glitter and shit on it is the epitome of "dude bro" style, but I do see a lot of it out at night, that is for sure. Gotta make your style look effortless.

I like the idea of being a little bit more classy and dressing in a modern fitted suit. Or jeans with a figured shirt and fitted dress jacket. I try and avoid looking like the rest (ie jeans and a button down untucked).

It's just moreso a point of differentiation. Modern means leave the black relaxed fit work suits at home

I agree with the others. I do dress pants, fitted shirt, tie, vest in the spring/summer and blazer in fall/winter. 1) I do it because I feel like vegas is a special event and I should dress the part. 2) to stand out from the untucked shirt and jean crowed.

If it's Saturday night, my name is on the table and I'm not doing a table anytime soon, i go all out with a full suit.

Any other night is dress pants/vest/tie

I like dressing up and luckily, no one can care how nice you dress lol.

Now, that look is hot. I'm not a big fan of vests, kind of reminds me of prom or a wedding, but to each their own. I was in Vegas a few weeks ago, and a lot of guys did the standard jeans and button down look. It's Vegas, you wanna look nice, try to stand out a bit from all the other guys.

I usually do nice fitted jeans (boot cut or slim straight), a solid collared button shirt (no retarded designs), and dress boots or tipped shoes. Never had a problem even in GA lines. Try to avoid the "bro" look; Affection or Ed Hardy! Confidence is the most important thing

I am a huge fan of the higher end diesel jeans. They are all hand made, really nice material with a little gruff to it. Nice stuff, runs around $350/pair. Hugo Boss, Banana Republic and Prada have some great slim fit collared shirts. Granted it is the collared shirt and jeans look, but the quality is way better than the lower end stuff around, and the slim fit with a little color in it looks pretty tight. And it's comfortable.
Been to Vegas too many times to count, partied in too many pools and clubs to track, but when you live so close, why wouldn't you?

                        Awesome tips so far, thanks!

Heading there in less than 3 weeks and I'm definitely wanting to stay away from the bro/douch look. My usual go to at clubs in my home town would be jeans and an untucked button up. I'm using this Vegas trip to class up my wardrobe a bit. I'm thinking dark wash jeans, a lite blue striped Hugo boss shirt, slim fit black blazer (with some kind of bright pocket square to add a pop of color) and black leather loafers. I'm most concerned about the blazer in the club. But I think I'm going to tough it out and it will be worth wearing.

Great work here Mike. I like the style!

Admin/Mods - could this be worthy of a forum sticky? Its providing very solid info that is applicable to a significant amount of current and future forum users?

Either dark, clean jeans, nice dress shoes and a collared sport shirt (untucked), or nice dress pants with a dress shirt. The reason for the first one is that I get really hot, and partying in a packed nightclub wearing something uncomfortable gets annoying sometimes. If I'm outside, forget it. It's jeans and untucked shirt, all the way.

Note: If you're wearing a collared shirt untucked, make sure it's a sport shirt and not an actual dress shirt. Dress shirts have longer, rounded off bottoms and are meant to be tucked in, and often look ridiculous when worn untucked with jeans. Sport shirts are less rounded, are shorter in length, and meant to be worn untucked. Most people won't notice, but that's because most don't know the difference. But, it's little things like that which can help clean up your outfit a bit. I always travel with a couple of each, just in case.

The note is very valid! You see so many idiots doing this. Also...whoever said bootcut jeans...come on bro we're not in the 90's!

I usually end up with something like norcalMike posted...although I don't really have an issue with the blazers. Also switch between a shirt and standard plain v-neck tshirt. The blazers are easy to pop off and leave by the table afterall. That's where your months of prep in the gym come in handy....when the guns come out!
