XS Nightswim May 4th with Skrillex

Short notice. I'm meeting some other people from the JC community at XS first nightswim of the year on Sunday and Skrillex is performing. I believe we are getting a table away from the pool. Just not sure what to expect with the nightswim, Skrillex show and XS club in general. What should I expect?

How to put this right....insanity. Put simply it's a pool party...at XS....at night....and they want everyone they can get in swimwear. It's great party and Skrillex is in Vegas rarely enough it's still an Event. Go, get in the pool, have fun.

Plus, there's something perversely satisfying about being in the table line at XS in board shorts next to the fools who are wearing suits.

I've been to XS night swim and it was one of the best times I've had while being in Vegas. Get in the pool and enjoy all other crazy people that also get in. You'll have a great time.

I still can't see how Skrillex at a club is a good time. Sounds like a huge brofest to me.

But then again, I can't see how Nightswim could be a bad time. I'd just rather see almost any DJ than Skrillex. Does he do more of a DJ set and less of a banger set?

Nice! I'll be there as well with 2 buddies. We have presales but if you have extra space let me know lol. Hell, we'll even pay just to have a place to sit, won't touch your liquor.

I'll still wear casual club attire (Jeans and a button up collared shirt. However, if the mood strikes me, I'll jump in fully clothed. Sounds like it will be a night to remember (or blackout). Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the info.

Why not wear swimwear? Its an awesome nighttime pool party! Have fun and go with it!! You will wish you had if you don't

Never seen skrillex at XS, but he absolutely killed it at light. Even if it is a huge brofest, it's hard to notice anything else when listening to the intimate rhythmical drops of skrillex. It's a refreshing break from a bunch of quarter and eighth notes at the same tempo the entire night.

wow man Skrillex is one of the best DJ's around...he doesn't play the same beat over and over again. He actually has skill and is versatile. I guess to each his own as this is matter of opinion. I seriously doubt its a brofest or maybe you just have no game?

Huh? Skrillex is what he is, and I'm sure he brings a party (albeit a brofest like you mentioned) but he's by no means an impressive producer.

I'm not sure what game has to do with anything? I didn't say its hard to pull at a club when Skrillex is on, I just assume the atmosphere is more bro-ish. I saw him briefly at a festival once, and didn't enjoy his set or the crowd.

that was supposed to say intricate**** I guess my phone auto corrected. lol. But seriously dude... he is one of the best producers around. I can understand what some people who don't know a lot about music don't really get it, but he brings some really unique stuff to the table. It's not just a bunch of random misplaced sounds like most people thing, the rhythmz make sense (see what i did there?) and are very complex.

I apologize for getting a little off topic here. To the OP, I would really listen to some Skrillex sets before you commit to the event. His music is definitely not for everyone, as you can see. However, I do believe most of his sets sound the same in Vegas, or not in Vegas. I know when I usually see Zeds Dead, Dash Berlin, and a few other producers in Vegas, I'll get a "Vegas Set," which is not always a bad thing. I hope this helps a little.
