Ghost bar or voodoo lounge

Hi guys,

Just wondered what ghost bar and voodoo lounge are like now a days. Hit voodoo a few years back and was planning on trying ghost bar for this trip. Should I or should I go voodoo again or avoid both?

Avoid both, in general. But it really depends on what you are looking for. Both are dated, and neither are hot spots anymore.

True, neither is a hot spot, but it is hard to beat that view. I am curious, has anyone visited Ghostbar since its renovations?

I disagree, at least for Ghost bar.

Not a place to get table service nor build a Trip around, but still well worth stopping into the Palms, having a drink at the center bar and then going up for a drink or two to enjoy the view. Not the spot it was 10 years go, but still worth a visit on a Thursday night -- especially since the re-model.

Ghostbar is not a place to END your night, agree wholeheartedly, BUT for a great pre game spot, it serves it purpose especially when one considers they have a nightly half price happy hour on All drinks from 8-10pm.Granted i was staying at PALMS PLACE anyway, but when your drinking Macallan 18's and the occasional 25 at a pretty decent clip thats a hell of a deal. Coupled with the remodel and the view, it's worth a stop in, just not a "hot spot" in the traditional sense.Met some interesting folks including Mayweather (go figure apparently he stops by the palms all the time) on a random Saturday this trip.

As a former host for Ghostbar I can sell you on everything it has to offer. The view is undoubtedly the best in Vegas. The 1.5 million dollar renovation transformed it into the classy and sexiness it deserved

What is the admission for the place? Was thinking to hit it for the happy hour during my trip this year.

When was the renovation? We went to GBDC back in December, and I didnt really notice anything that different.

My last trip to GhostBar was 2 years ago, it was good if your expectation is a great place to have a drink and enjoy the view.
There used to be these deals on Travelzoo for a Palms package that was like $50 per person for a good meal, and then free entry into all the Palms clubs/bars. So going into Ghostbar for a drink or two and then leaving once bored was no big deal.

Anybody been to Voodoo recently? I loved the view from there too, seemed more accessible for larger groups and was good for weekday lounging. Even had decent crowds when I used to go, but that was at least 3-4 years ago.

And what happened to Foundation Room? I had been there on a couple of Mondays, but I dont know when its open anymore, and how its been.

No. But Ghost Bar does have a Half Off ALL drinks (including top shelf liquor) from 8pm to 10pm. I took advantage if this almost every night my last trip staying at Palms Place. It's not a scene but was a good pre game spot/chill relax night spot with a decent crowd especially during happy hour.

Cheers man, I thought I recalled reading about it no longer being a thing, but one of the boys I was with last time was real keen on doing it again, so I had to check.
We did it when Rain and Moon were still going, the wristband got you open bar at just the one venue, but pass the line passes for all clubs, so it was a pretty good deal.

We might do GBCD if we're there for the weekend, so could be worth hanging about the complex until 8 and topping up before rolling out.

Actually looking at their eventbright listings Monday-Wednesday they have a hosted bar 10pm - 1am for $100. I'd actually contact someone over at the Palms since that deal might be available Thursday - Sunday but they aren't making event listings for those nights so you'd have to call to find out.

Awesome, cheers man. We might be there midweek, so this is definitely worth thinking about.
Is a bit of a shame that it doesn't include entry to any other clubs anymore (bit hard when there are no other clubs anymore, I know) Kinda leaves you drunk off your face at 1am with no-where else to go.
