Help a friend out - one night in Sin city (before the Madness!)

Hi Guys!

We’re a mixed group of 47! going to Exodus/Invasion May14-20 but I’ll be flying in solo on May 13 around noon… I’ve been to Vegas a few times, never solo though and never at a hotel (friend of mine that gets in on the 14th is staying 10 minutes off the strip)…

Usually, Tuesday is our 'off day' (playing golf, enjoying his pool, etc.). We have planned to hit Hak^2, Light, XS (nightswim), Marquee – Daylight, Wet, MDC, Bare.

So, I’ll probably try and pick a room for one night at an decent hotel when I get there (just jumping into a cab and tell them to drop me off in the MGM / NYNY area or am I missing something here?)… and from there – enjoy the strip in the afternoon or other options?... and at night – going solo to a club? Don’t think I would be able to stay in my room knowing I’m in Vegas even though I got 5 nights and 4 pool parties non-stop afterwards… Hyde? 1OAK?... Don’t want to look like a creep trying to pull being alone… Where is that mid20s Asian girl going solo thread again? ;-)

Lol, I'd book something now or at least get the Hotel Tonight app for Tuesday. There is a real estate convention that week so rooms aren't as open as usual.

I would checkout a site like www.kayak.com NOW!
For a Tuesday night you could get something at like Motel 6 on Tropicana across from MGM for around $40 all in no resort fee.
You could even take the westcliff airport express (city bus) from airport for $5 for a 24 hour pass- so you could explore the strip/downtown if you wanted.

I've been to Hyde on tuesdays - remembered 'meeting' a lady that worked at Tao beach - surely one of the best tuesdays of my life ;-) ... I've never been to 1OAK - worth the switch?

Hyde and 1Oak are both really good on Tuesdays. If youve never been to 1OAK I say check it out!!
