Does anyone have any comments or advice on 1OAK? More specifically for a group of 21 year olds on a Tuesday? My friends and I will be in Vegas this coming June and I'm interested in going here because I want to go to at least a few clubs that play something other than EDM. I've done some research and there are a lot of mixed reviews. Some people say it's so crowded that you can't really dance. I also heard that ladies have to wear heels the whole time and can't switch to flat shoes! Is there any truth to this? Any advice or comments would be appreciated.

Lol, I don't know where some of this stuff starts. 1Oak is great on Tuesdays, but it will be crowded. The shoe rumor baffles me honestly, better flats than barefoot.

I don't know who would enforce that rule.

1OAK gets really crowded, so its best to have a table. If you can't afford it... You really don't have many other options on Tuesdays. Hyde is open, but a pretty good party too so will also be crowded.

Not a rumor, and it happens at The Bank too. It's one of those "better safe than sorry" type situations. Some girls slip by, but I've also seen girls turned away on multiple occasions. I can only imagine that it's like the dress code rules about sportswear and attracting a certain type of customer.

You might be able to switch once inside without an issue though.

Was there Saturday for NAS with a group of 4 girls, it is not just a rumor witnessed it first hand, they wouldn't let a girl in front of us in who was wearing flats (and the stated reason was 'you are wearing flats' but she was goong in GA, so maybe that contributed)1oak does have a bit of a rep for having "interesting" security (experienced this first hand more details later in a TR)... as far as how crowded it gets, yeah 1oak gets packed, but so does literally every other Vegas Club I have been to. Some just more so than others. Went to Hakkasan on Friday night and did a table, and was VERY happy I made that choice because even though it's much larger than 1oak, for example, the amount of people they cram into that place is INSANE.

I would definitely wear heels or wedges if you can. When I last went to Vegas, we waited in line for around an hour. There was a big group of girls in front of us and ONE girl was wearing flats. They were waiting in line longer than we were and the one girl was asked to leave because of her shoes. The whole group ended up leaving because they didn't want to leave the one behind.

Also, on that same trip: My friend had put her flats on while we were waiting in that super long line and held onto her heels just because the line was so long. Security came up to her and made her change even though the line wasn't moving.

If you are barefoot inside, they make you put your shoes back on. I can't imagine that someone would be walking around checking feet for heels vs flats, but don't expect to leave and reenter with flats on.

I enjoyed myself during a less crowded Friday early summer. Went back in August and it was way too packed (GA both times). Nice mix of music. Slow service at the bar.

I had a good time, overall. I liked it simply for the fact that they played hip hop primarily and there seemed to be alot more people on the dance floor enjoying themselves. I can do certain EDM DJ's but like the option 1oak provides...
