Looking for a Host to organise our whole week!

There are 6 of us lads coming over from the UK from 24th May 2014 to 31st May 2014.

We want to be out every night and also want tables for 4 nights at least.

We are looking to spend on average $2500 per night for tables (4 of the nights). We understand its memorial weekend when we land and we expect prices to be high so we want a table for most likely the Saturday we land.

Preferred days for tables are Saturday 24th, Monday 26th, Wednesday 28th and Friday 30th. Obviously you will know best of what days will be better than others so move around if you have to.

If you could provide us with an itinerary for the whole week we will definitely use the one host for everything.

Mate what you're asking for cant be done. The guys here aren't independent hosts.

Looking at this theres a few questions.

1. The $2500 - does that INCLUDE tax and gratuity and host tip and security? Im not sure if you know how it works, but a $2500 minimum is this

min: $2500
Tax and grat: 28% (700)
Local entertainment tax: 10$ ($250)
Host tip: discretionary, usually around $200
Security tip: $100
Busser tip: $50

So that $2500 minimum is actually $3600. Are you aware of that?

2. What time you land on saturday? Im from London so I presume you're BA or Virgin. You'll be landing around either 6 or 8pm yes? You'll need to go straight to the club. You gotta be at clubs by 11. 11:30 latest or you can be bumped.

3. Hosts works for specific clubs, the ones here aren't independent. You get better deals going direct to club hosts because independent guys obviously are independent so earn their money through you. That means you are spending hundreds of dollars per night on them, where if you go direct to club hosts there is no independent middle man. This saves you thousands.

4. This means you have to work out where you want to go yourself. We can all assist, but Vegas is all about planning - asking others to do it for you isn't the way forward.

If I were you I would do this

Saturday: XS or Light
Monday: XS or Marquee
Wednesday: Surrender or Light
Friday: Drais

So onto your spend.

If your spend is $2500 TOTAL including all tips etc, you're not gonna be looking good. Its MDW - the biggest week of the year. A $2500 total won't even get you 3 bottles once all's said and done. And you're gonna get shitty tables for a 2 bottle min for 6 guys that week.

Basically - you gotta A) up your spend and B) do some research and plan what DJ's you want to see, what clubs you want to go to.

Also - there's many independant hosts in vegas, but expect to spend at least $1000 using them. They can do all the leg work, but its gonna cost you.

Thanks for the reply everyone! We know it is memorial weekend but does this mean the whole week will be expensive? We don't mind paying up to $4000 during that weekend but didn't think $2500 would be half bad during the week?

We are not to fussed about DJ's we are just out to have a good time!

I will definitely go directly to the club hosts and save that little extra.

It will mate - its the biggest week in Vegas. It ups the minimums even in the week. The Saturday will be mental minimums, the Monday too will be higher. Your following Friday will be high min cos its Friday night and every Friday is busy.

You may save a little on Wednesday but its 6 guys, even in a non holiday week you'll need a two bottle min (rule is 1 bottle per 3 guys) so you're still gonna need to spend circa $2000 for 2 bottles (about $600 - $650 each). Two bottles is basically $2000 once you've paid all the tips and handshakes out.

Your next problem is the amount of booze. 2, or even 3 bottles between 6 hard drinking guys isnt enough. I say hard drinking cos I see youre taking nights off so probably wont be hungover when you start. Factor in the fact that there WILL be women at your table aswell and they WILL drink your bottles.

The key with all of this is to be realistic. Id say youll end up doing 4 bottles, cos its six guys and x amount of girls. Dont make the mistake of low-balling your minimum for 2 bottles then spending more once youre inside. Be realistic with it, that way you have a higher minimum which means a better table.

Theres no point spending thousands and being on the worst table in the house cos you didnt think it through.

As for whats good on what night...

Monday: XS or Marquee
Tuesday: 1Oak or Hyde
Wednesday: Surrender or Light
Thursday: EBC at Night, Hakkasan, Tryst, Tao
Friday: All, but especially Drais Beachclub Nightclub, XS, Light, Hakkasan
Saturday: All, but especially Drais Beachclub Nightclub, XS, Light, Hakkasan
Sunday: XS Nightswim, Eclipse at Light, The Bank, Hakkasan

Pick the ones you wanna go to, we can all help you out on who to contact.

Direct hosts can set up your entire week. It happens all the time. Will they be going to each venue with you,no, but they can get you set up at each club.

The only night you'll likely get priced out of the big clubs is Saturday. Otherwise, you'll be in good shape since you are staying after the holiday weekend.

I wouldn't drop Drai's into the best spot on the weekend category just yet, especially not over Marquee.

Good plan, but I'd check with a host about guest listing for Nightswim and if you do go EARLY.

Saturday Light is a goer. You'll need a decent minimum - try to get Tier 2 at least.
Sunday - You wont get guest list anywhere for 6 guys mate. You're men. There's six of you. Clubs dont want men buddy.
Monday - Again, you wont get guest list unless you know a host well
Tuesday - Hyde. Definately. Probably be $2500 min id guess for a good spot
Wednesday - Surrenders good
Thursday - Tryst - you can get great deals on Bottle's on Thurs nights. Speak to Bobby Yeadon from these forums
Friday - XS - yeah all good.

So - the nights when you arent having tables. Youll need to buy your tickets up front. Dont to General Admission unless you like standing in Queue's for hours.

You simply wont get guest list, and often the pre-sale line moves quicker anyway.

Also - if you can pull of 7 nights at clubs on the trot good luck!!

One more thing, you need to be thinking of pool parties as much, if not more than night clubs.

For pre-sale tickets (about 50 bucks max id have thought but i dunno) go to the club homepage or wanttickets.

Pool parties...

Encore Beach Club and Marquee Day Club are the two way out as the best. Go here either Saturday or Sunday. You should be going to both.

Next tier are Wet Republic, Daylight, Liquid and Tao Beach

After that you got the likes of Rehab and Ditch Friday at the Palms, which are quite tired nowadays.

On MDW weekend Monday will still be jumping, so the pools i guess would be open, Tuesday/Wednesday there's none open

General concensus is

Thurs: Liquid/Tao Beach
Friday: Liquid/Tao Beach or EBC/MDC (Encore Beach Club and Marquee Day Club are bigger so need more people to get jumping)
Saturday: MDC
Sunday: EBC
Monday: Bare

You can get cabanas/day beds, but they cost as much as tables in night clubs and you dont need them as much as you do tables at night clubs. Just go in pre-sale

As I mentioned before - theres no way you boys will do 7 days on the trot with Pool Parties and Clubs! But I admire the courage! ; )

Is this a hassle for hosts? I've ever only had either myself or myself +1 walked in.

During a table purchase at XS i had someone walk in 3 guys that were bumping our body limit.

lots of great tips-
I would just add- when you say "not to fussed about DJ's" realize there are several clubs you could be visiting so it helps to look at who the dj is to help you choose.
For example- 5/25 calvin harris or avicii or snoop dogg or carl cox or ? you can't be at all four you have to pick something

I would say something like this
5/24 nightclub
5/25 pool party then nightclub
5/26 pool party then nightclub
5/27 slow morning then you could get free entry to 1oak
5/28 slow morning then you could get free entry to light
5/29 slow morning then you could get free entry to hak
5/30 lot of pool parties open all the night clubs open

I just mention the free entry 5/27-5/29 because that is the only days you will likely get it- so if you want to go big I would go big Sat, Sun, Mon, Friday.

Also this new nightclub Drais is opening MDW weekend so keep in eye on that its a pool party during the day and nightclub at night and the pool party might be open during the week.
