XS Nightswim Vs. Eclipse

A group of 5 guys are going to vegas may 1st to 5th. For the sunday night, which is better? We're good with the music either way just wondering if one is better than the other. We would be doing presales as bottle service isnt an option on our budget.

Haven't been to either, but Skrillex is doing the official opening of Nightswim on May 4th. Should be a huge party...

XS is the established Sunday champ, but that's been almost by default. Eclipse has Sebastian Ingrosso that night, so both should go off. Eclipse might end up having a better atmosphere since they don't have the inside/outside problem XS does. (When XS has really big names for NS they open the inside and have the DJ set up facing inside. This does direct energy away from the pool, which is half the reason to go to NS in the first place. Eclipse doesn't have that issue.)

Eclipse will feel more like a concert due to it's set up. They are on complete opposite ends of the strip so they should both do well.

Decide on which DJ you'd prefer to see.. Skrillex over Seb Ingrosso in my opinion but others might say different.

I remember the DJ facing outside mainly on Nightswim last year.

Yeah the DJ is usually facing outside. The inside is not really open. You can go in there and walk through it and stuff, but like they aren't using the seating or anything and there aren't very many people in there at all.

The inside is open, but only to walk through on your way in and out. Hell, they didn't even use the grand entrance. Used a side door down the hall. I'm not sure if they let you hang out inside either. Even if they did, the bar is closed, and you'd just be standing in the walkway at the back of the club.

As for which way the DJ faces, I was under the impression that the DJ always faces the outside except for a few big event Sundays (MDW, LDW) where the inside is actually open. Maybe if it's a big enough DJ on a random other Sunday, they'll open the inside for business, but based on past experience, it doesn't seem to be very often.

Both should be solid, Eclipse was packed this past Sunday, but XS wasn't nightswim. I think if anything, it may hurt Hakk a bit, but I think there's room on a sunday for both to have solid parties. Eclipse has the stage/visuals going for it and a real "dancefloor" area. XS has great cabanas and a great open space/bar area, really good if you have to do GA. Both have layout Pros and good DJs
