    Hello all

Group of lads from the UK getting to Vegas on Wednesday 7th May for a Stag for 5 nights. We staying at Cosmo.

This is the plan so far, and we'll do tables for all:

Wed - Light (instead of Surrender) 13 guys
Thurs - Tryst (over Tao) 13 guys
    Friday - XS - (15 guys)
    Sat - Marquee (15 Guys)

Sunday we will plan when we there if all are still alive!! Has anyone got any advice on the club choice we've made, or what table numbers to get. We are budgeting high for the trip, hoping to get dancefloor tables on Wed and Thurs, and potentially Tier 2 on Fri and Sat.

We've been liaising with one contact who will arrange tables for all nights. It does seem easier to have one contact rather than going to individual hosts. Is there a good saving using the direct hosts suggested from JC?

    Thanks in advance
    Dal

You should be okay using 1 host. What type of minimums is he giving you?

If that includes your 28.1% tax and tip its probably spot on…. if not (4850+28.1%) I think you're getting a raw deal…

            Hi Dal
It sounds like you don't have much experience
            some quick tips:
            1. check all the nightclub lineups who the dj is and compare- go with what you like best- if your dropping over $5k in one night your group should really like the music
            2. on tables you will usually get quoted a minimum spend but its important to ask bottle prices, if there are bottle specials, table LOCATION and don't forget about tax/tip which can run 28% to 38% on top
for example 4 people per bottle with $500 bottles + tax/tip on top- so $640 to get a four person table all in, etc.

            More specifically for you:
Once you settle on which events you like you should contact the club hosts directly to get quotes.
are you planning on pool parties? Friday afternoon, Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon?
On your $4850 quote for 9 bottles that comes out to about $500/$525 a bottle with no tax and tip- so is probably inaccurate
might be more like $6700 all in including tax/tip- do you really want to spend that much on a Wednesday night?

            You might consider something like
            wed- light
            thurs- hak- Tiesto?
            Friday pool party?
            Friday- hak- Calvin Harris
Sat pool party- encore beach avicii?
            Sat-xs diplo?
            Sunday pool party?
            Sunday night- XS nightswim

Marquee has there resident dj Lema booked Friday dayclub, Saturday dayclub, and Saturday nightclub

I know you said your budgeting high but I'm not sure how high total your thinking- if you add in the pool parties...
Friday night/Saturday night are the bigger nights in vegas- more people in town- so I would try to go big those nights
Sunday-Thursday you can usually get bottle specials, etc

Also- with a 15 person group and with these high budgets your talking I would recommend you get your money/budget/all the details straightened out from the start. If you have a $20,000 budget and you want to hit 7 events and you drop $7,000 on the first one you might be getting just entry later in the week- or maybe you should get just entry earlier in the week and big tables later.

artedm nailed it. Talk to a Light host directly.

Edit: I recommend Noah who posted above. He's the man.

Guys thanks for the replies. Its my 2nd trip to Vegas but am still inexperienced to a group of this size.

Firstly, the quote I got was including everything, tax and tip (or so we've been told). I agree, we wouldn't want to drop over 6k on a Wednesday night so thought the quote wasn't too bad. Noah I can email you for a quote to see if you can do anything?

Artedm thanks for the info mate. We've had a look at who is playing at which club. Our group would prefer hip hop for sure but in Vegas its predominantly house music no? We wana go to all the main clubs (XS, Hakkasan, Marquee) so have chosen that over music to be honest. We are also hoping that's where the ladies are lol. Its a fine balancing act.

We are looking into pool parties too. hopefully gona go big one day with a cabana, and maybe a regular table on another night. Havent decided which ones to go to yet.

Noah will be able to give it to you straight. We always recommend working with the hosts in the contact thread that works directly for the venue.

Always be wary of someone who gives you a quote that specifies what type of alcohol you will get. The quote for Light is way off for the bottles listed.

If you are looking for more hip hop, you can do the Ling Ling room at Hakkasan that is their dedicated Hip Hop room and the boom box room at Marquee. These aren't the main rooms at the venue, but are dedicated to hip hop and table can be had for lower mins.

Keep posting and we'll try to steer you to the best way to make your budget work. Pool parties are one of the best parts of summer in Vegas, and you'll kick yourself if you don't hit at least one. Marquee dayclub is right downstairs in Cosmo.
