  • How far in advance to book a table?

My wife and I will be coming to Vegas May 28th-June 1st, which seems to be a less attractive weekend, due to being the weekend after MDW. Should I start contacting hosts now to book tables/daybeds? We are staying at The Cosmopolitan and thinking of going to MDC, Drai's Beachclub, Light, and possibly XS. If I should wait, what is the ideal time frame to book before arrival?

Lastly, does anyone have much luck booking tables the day of? I thought if we meet people we can maybe split with another couple.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Usually two weeks out is fine, although contacting a host sooner for larger groups is recommended. You can book day of especially for groups of 2-4.

I've try to get booked about a week in advance. Usually in groups of approx 4 people. Both weekdays and weekends. I've never had any trouble getting a table or a good deal doing it that way. Plenty of people book sooner that that. Others book day of/day before. I'm not sure there is really a "wrong" way to do it if you are not on a MDW/NYE type weekend.

I've booked anywhere from 4 weeks in advance to day of. If its going to be a busy weekend, best do a week or two out.

I'll be out there with a few friends the same days as you; let me know if you and your wife are interested in combining forces on table service.
