Table minimum based on party makeup

I have heard a few folks on the board talk about mentioning to your host how many males and females will be in your party when getting pricing for BS. My question is, does having females in the party affect what the table minimum is going to be, or are minimums generally set for the table regardless of party makeup? For example, I have a group of 5 guys and 5 girls that will be headed to Vegas soon, am I better to ask for table minimums based on the whole party, or based on the 5 guys and guest listing the girls? Hoping to keep total spend around 3k and be in a T1 club and looking for the best way to approach it.

IMO you're better off just getting the quote for the 5 guys. I'm usually in Vegas with just other girls, and we can get good deals, but the number of people still matters. 5 guys and 5 girls would probably get a better minimum than 10 guys, but ultimately 5 people will get a better price than 10 people. That's just my experience, though. Are the girls chipping in? Are they your dates?
