So I'm going to be in Vegas this weekend with some friends and trying to decide which club to hit friday (April 11). We are trying to decide between Xs, Marquee, Hakkasan, or Surrender. XS will have Martin Solveige ($35), Marquee- ATB ($40), Hakkasan- Calvin Harris ($93), and Surrender RL Grime ($38) (Prices are current pre-sales as of April 8th). What would you guys suggest based on how hyped the club gets, amount of girls there, and price? I've only ever heard of Calvin Harris before, is he really worth paying $93 for entrance? Your opinions are appreciated! Thank you!
XS, Marquee, or Hakkassan this Friday April 11th?

My group is doing Light with Otto Knows. We've previously been to Light and really enjoyed the venue and Otto Knows, while definitely not the largest artist in Vegas for Friday, has made some good music happen. I've previously seen Calvin Harris and been unimpressed, but I didn't see him at Hakkasan so that very well could be the show to be at for Friday.
Really any of those options will be great, I'd listen to their music on Soundcloud or look for videos of previous performances in Vegas to judge what kind of music and crowd they might be bringing, but really Friday looks to be a night where this is no bad choice.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah I'm checking out youtube videos right now, $93 seems a bit much, but I'm sure he will attract a lot of girls, which is a plus.
I've never been to surrender, is it a big club? I've been to Marquee and XS before, is it comparable to those? seems like a low key club haven't heard much about it.
Anyone else have a suggestion? thanks.

Calvin Harris is a huge draw. Although I am out of the loop for Vegas clubs since every club started signing top name DJs, I do know this will without a doubt, attract the best looking female crowds that night (if that's what you're in for).
Let's face it, EDM is huge and nothing attracts the females more than top 10 radio tracks and that's what Calvin Harris does. I am looking into XS for Martin Solveig myself but that's because the bachelor wants to go to XS. It may be worth the extra money but just know it will be packed unless you have a table when CH comes on at Hak.

Calvin is also playing main stage coachella this weekend and doing lollapalooza- he is huge- that's why his face is on the side of mgm
I have seen Hak charge guys $150 at the door- NYE with him was like $275-$300
that being said if you have a larger group it gets pricey considering that is just entry
you might be able to free entry to light- try that vipforfree
otherwise xs is really nice with indoor/outdoor area and a great value

Calvin Harris will be the draw, but fuck $100 to go in Hak pre-sale. its a NIGHTMARE without a table.
Martin Solveig by the way is a serious talent. He's been massive over in Europe for over 10 years, working with the Defected label, which is very scarcely known in the US, but its pure house basically.
Not that he will play house in the US, it'll be EDM I imagine, but he's the best actual DJ you've listed and he's also at the best club.
To me its fairly obvious!
And the women thing - its Vegas Friday night mate. It's gonna be crazy. Just go XS, youll have a blast

You need to do something to earn this "Nightlife Connoisseur" label you've given yourself. Rating Hak 3 stars while Surrender 5 stars is not a great place to start.Originally posted by Lee SmithXS (5 stars) plenty of room to dance AND they have a huge outdoor area where you can take a breather from the crowd.
Surrender (5 stars) similar to XS, they are indoor/outdoor but the indoor area is much smaller. Still an awesome venue and the ladies are top notch (:
Marquee (4 stars) great venue, great light show, BUT gets very very crowded and by the end of the night you will be cursing the design team for making you climb 4 flights of stairs to make it in and out of the club
Hakkasan (3 stars) great DJ's, the size of the club is very impressive, BUT extremely over hyped. Go to Hakkasan on Thursday or Sunday when you can most likely get in free $93 for tickets vs. FREE. You got nothing to loose. Weekends are way too crowded and its impossible to get on the dancefloor so my advice, avoid Fridays & Saturdays here and go somewhere else.

Nobody caters towards "ticket holders." It's all about the tables, and then packing as many people in as possible beyond that.Originally posted by Lee SmithHakkasan has been my "go to" spot Thursdays & Sunday, almost every week since Hakkasan opened. I have to say opening night with Deadmau5, I was overly impressed! The initial wow factor for the venue was 10/10. It's a massive space, the decor really makes you feel that you are in good hands when it comes to picking the right party in Vegas. With acts like Moby & now Deep Dish coming soon to Hakkasan, I feel like their talent is 100% on point. So why do I have such a long face about Hakkasan. 50% of their parties, and I'm talking about Friday's & Saturday's are a complete cluster f$%k. They over sell the venue to an excruciating capacity. My beef comes when they charge $50-$150 for general admission tickets for tourist, and then turn around and just completely pack the club with guest list. This become unfair to the ticket holders. If you pay to see a show, especially the premium that Hakkasan charges, then you need to leave room so that the ticket holders may enjoy the amenities. My claims are again rectified by looking at the several hundred reviews on Yelp! My concerns are echoed in the voices of others who have experienced this catastrophe. It's not that I don't recommend Hakkasan, its just that I recommend no going 50% of the time eg. Friday & Saturday. I advise to anyone to visit this club on Thursday or Sunday, and if you are purchasing a ticket, to save your $$$ for events that cater more towards paying ticket holders.
XS is the best venue to go to general admission, we agree there. But Marquee is definitely better than Surrender, no matter how you look at it, and Hak GA is still probably a better overall experience than Surrender GA, even though Surrender has a little bit more room to move around.
Regardless, if you're whining about the club being too packed when you're going GA on a Friday/Saturday, you shouldn't be considered a connoisseur of the nightlife.Next Trip: October 28-31, 2016
