  • Weekend before MDW?? Dead or good?

I am planning on going to Vegas with a group of 4 guys, including myself this May. Last year we went to Vegas on MDW, it was definitely a lot of fun, even though we did not get a table. We are planning on going again this year, but was wondering if going the weekend before would be dead? I've been to Vegas two other times prior to the last trip, the cost of going was significantly less in terms of flight and hotel, even GA tickets.

So I figure, what better than to ask the experts on here, which for the record, this site was definitely amazing in setting up a trip last year, thanks to everyone's advice.

Planning on going to Wet Republic, EBC, MDC, XS, Hakk, and Marquee again this year.

The only slow month I've experienced in Vegas was December. Other than that you're good. Plus May is practically summer so it will be extra crowded. Enjoy!

Any month that the weather is warm your pretty much guaranteed to find people out and about at any place worth going to.

It will absolutely not be dead, don't worry about that! I've gone the weekend after MDW last year and had a great time, it was plenty busy and as you've noted, much much cheaper for everything (hotel, flights, tables, etc).

We went the weekend before LDW a couple of years ago and to be honest I think it worked in our favour. The minimums we managed to get for the tables / cabana's we were given were absolute bargains whilst everywhere was still packed. Although not sure if it was because it was the weekend before a big holiday weekend or due to the fact none of the main headliners were in town (Creamfields was going off in the UK and they seemed to have booked everyone).

In all honesty if you fail to have fun in Vegas any weekend during Summer you really need to have a long hard look at yourself!
An 8,000 mile journey is always worth it when it ends in Vegas!

Yeah Exodus will be there. More importantly, a lot of forum members will be in town that week. It won't be dead by any means.

This forum is hosting its biggest event that weekend. It will definitely not be dead. A lot of us will be there, myself included.
