  • Hey Everyone, Need help with Itinerary for Girlfriend and I (thanks in advance)..

    Hey everyone!

My Girlfriend and I are heading to Vegas this Friday March 14 2014 to Monday the 17th. Its kind of a last minute trip I decided to take her on for her birthday and her upcoming graduation from Law School. Timing just worked out and once I found out her favourite band was playing there (Tool) it was a no brainer. This is her first time so Id really like her to enjoy herself, problem is Ive never been with a girl and only been down for the WSOP (and other poker trips) and a couple bachelor parties. I was just wondering if you guys could give any advice on things we could do. Heres the very general plan.

Arrive at 630, goto hotel check in, Grab some dinner (Maybe Battistas because its quick, I always love it but I realize its not very vegas.. really open to suggestions here) just walk the strip, maybe hit a lounge like Ghost Bar etc.. See Bellagio Fountains, drag her onto the Stratosphere rides... Maybe O'sheas for some St Pattys stuff..

After this not too sure, maybe do some gambling or hit up somewhere thats not an over the top club (any suggestions)

Next Day was thinking of renting a car, she wants to check out the outlet malls, maybe hit up downtown.. Ill probably get myself some animal style fries at In and Out, you know the typical traps haha... Any where you guys would suggest I take her (shopping may take up all the time I realize haha)?

    Sat night

Tool concerts at 8 so well probably get a quick dinner... We were thinking of going to Gordon Ramsays Burger or whatever its called in PH because thats where the concert is.. She likes the idea of the whole celebrity chef thing. Is this place terrible idea?

After the show we want to go to a bar that plays old hip hop, mashups whatever... Just not all EDM... From what Ive looked at Moon seems like a decent place to go. Thoughts? You guys think its worth getting bottle service for just the two of us? Does prepaying for tickets actually work seamlessly?

Sunday, were just thinking of chilling by the pool, relaxing nothing too crazy.. Anything worth seeing? She wants to check out Craft Steak for dinner because she loves the dude from Top Chef .. Wed like to go to a club but I don't know where.. Xs seems like the obvious choice but I really don't know.

I obviously dont want everything planned out, I'm actually the most unorganized person ever. I just know how annoying it is trying to figure out stuff without a cellphone/internet (Im Canadian and my data was 1700 for a month once).

Thanks for anyone that read this rambling post. Any advice is much appreciated. Just a warning I'm also a student now so Im currently not the most "balling person" ever so cost is a consideration for me. Thanks again!

Since, you're on a budget you've got a good start.

Saturday, if the concert gets out around 10 you've got 1Oak, Tao, Haze, Pure that all play the style of music you're looking for. Don't bother going to whatever Moon was unless you're staying at the Palms...actually just stay out on the strip at one of those clubs.

Sunday you have XS, the Bank and Hakkasan as options. XIV at Hyde in the Bellagio is also an option.

Pre-sale tickets make everything easier especially if it's just the two of you. If you're on a tight budget bottle service doesn't really make sense.

Since it's her graduation trip just make sure she has a good time.

      where are you staying?
Town square has a lot of stores, Crystals at city center, there are two outlet malls north and south, plus the hotels on the strip have a lot of stores in them.

Realize the pool parties will be open- Marquee day club, Encore beach

Just to help you plan the headline dj usually starts around 3pm at the pool parties and 1am at the nightclubs.
XS 3/14 David Guetta 3/15 Avicii
Hak 3/14 Calvin Harris 3/15 Tiesto 3/16 Steve Aoki
      Light 3/15 Seb Ingrosso
XS, Hak, Light are the bigger over the top clubs and yes presale tickets are a great way to go.

Tao 3/15 DJ Vice- is more of a mashup/ open format

Its her celebration maybe she just wants nice dinners, shopping, quite time by the hotel pool.
Or you can really go all out wild at some of those pool/nightclubs.

        Hey Guys,

Thank so much for the responses! Really goes a long way.

        CCC,
Thanks for all the club suggestions. If the show wraps up around 10pm or so wed probably have to change and stuff into suitable club clothes. Would it be way too early to head to the bar around 11? If we have presale tickets will they work at like 12:30, 1am. Whats the best approach to possibly seeing more than one place in a night? Yah I figured bottle service wasnt the way to go. Just that at Moon they had a 200 dollar minimum to reserve a table (for shots/drinks etc) so I figured if we were buying presale (say 50 between the two of us) and drinks, itd end up costing more than 200 anyway. Maybe Im way off on this and all the extra add ons would ruin any potential benefit.

Ill definitely make sure she has a good time and I really appreciate you guys helping make that happen. Just wish I had more cash to make everything possible.

        artedm,

Thanks for all the info on the day clubs. We've been strongly considering it, just dont know if itll be a little over the top for us. I feel like itd be better suited for when we go with a group of people but I may be wrong. She does love dancing and chilling by the pool so it seems right up her alley haha.

Sadly I booked us at Flamingo, I liked the pool last time I was there but I now regret it. Tried to call them directly to see if I could be switched to another Caesars property and just pay the difference but theyre saying it isnt possible.

        Thanks again you guys!

Also, is St. Patricks Day really celebrated in Vegas? I know O'sheas has something going on but I really have no idea what to expect.

Pre-sales are usually only guaranteed till 12, and spring break gets going this week. Hopping clubs without good connections is not easy. You can contact some of the hosts to see if they will walk you in, but it will probably cost you more than your budget can bear.
