  • mlife gold card "VIP Line Access"

So I crossed over into gold mlife level on my last trip. One of the benefits of the gold level is "VIP Line Access to Nightclubs and Pool Day Clubs for You and a Guest" as stated on the mlife website.

Anyone ever use this and what does it get you? Does the VIP line access also include cover? Does it work better at certain clubs over others? I'm guessing it isn't that big of a deal but any first hand experience with it would be of help.

    Thanks in advance!

Worthless. The only nightclubs I ever read reports about mlife status being recognized are now closed (Studio 54 and Tabu) and weren't worth going to anyway.

I have several friends who are mlife Plat and have said they were told flat out by hosts/doormen that they would not get any benefits, even at Tier 2 clubs like Haze.

Did they just show their card to the hosts / doormen and ask if it did anything? I always always under the impression that you had to go to the hotel concierge who would get you on the list for the club and that it worked that way.

If you're an mlife gambler, the best approach is always going to be to talk to your casino host and have him set you up with the nightclub host he knows. Nothing's going to beat that arrangement, but then that's independent of your mlife tier.

Not to mention that the whole point of mlife tier benefits is so that gamblers don't have to get their hosts involved to get benefits. Before the mlife rollout, any gamber who would have gotten mlife plat could have gotten his host to walk him into the buffet or to the front of the cab line. The whole point of having mlife plat is so that the benefit is established, consistent, and most importantly, convenient. That's why the advertised nightclub "benefit" is the biggest sham of mlife - and that's saying something!

BTW, a hotel concierge isn't going to get you on any list that e-mailing a random host on here isn't going to get you on.

Hey, thanks for the info guys. I'm glad I didn't waste my time trying to use this silly gold card to get in some VIP line.
