LET Tax - What Clubs?

Can someone fill me in on what clubs apply LET Tax? Is this an industry wide thing, and if so when will it take affect? Or has it already?

Do people consider this when deciding what club to hit up?

It's a state law that has been in effect for some time. There was a proposal on the state floor last July to wipe it out and make it a flat tax of 8% since LET tax is 10% for venues that can accomodate less than 7500 and 5% for venues over 7500.

Not all places are directly charging their customers LET though.

I think Omar's list is pretty accurate. Wet is also going to be charging LET on Fridays too this year.

Have to think Macklemore/Ryan Lewis at EBC and Surrender will have LET applied. I think there are a couple live performers with residencies there.

Can you elaborate what you mean by absorbed in the bottle prices?

They don't list the LET as a seperate charge, it's baked into the bottle price.

All the clubs can charge LET, we have had LET at all LG clubs and pools. It depends on the performer and most of the time it's during holidays/events. It's an ugly addition, but definitely check with host to be sure. Some places are lumping it in to the "Tax" section of the bill along with the regular sales tax. Watch for that.

Is the LET tax just on bottle service or everything? Ive never heard of a tax like that before.
