I read some months ago that PURE was getting a huge remodel this year. I heard from a host there that there's talk of it closing immediately after MDW. Has anyone else heard the same or know any more info as to when it is likely to close and for how long etc?
PURE closing for remodelling

Last I heard, Pure was actually going to close a lot earlier than MDW. From what I understand, the final renderings are not in yet and they still have to get permits, though, so who knows how long that will take. This is all just way down the grapevine though so take it as you will.
Summer is actually a slow time for Vegas - visitors don't like the heat. It's true the worst 'off days' in winter will be worse than those in summer, but winter also has the big weekends (NYE, Super Bowl, Chinese New Year's), and March Madness is in early spring too. Also, in summer a lot of people who can't handle doing dayclub/nightclub back-to-back often just do dayclubs instead.Originally posted by ccc View PostThat's a really strange time to close. I would have done it during winter not summer.
The other thing is that a deep-8-figure renovation, especially for a big-name club that is struggling to stay relevant, cannot ever come soon enough. Better to just close and finish it and be new than to care about revenues at the old.

I get that. Hell, the reno is probably two years too late. Summer is probably slower, relatively, for a club like Pure.Originally posted by avseg View PostLast I heard, Pure was actually going to close a lot earlier than MDW. But in the spectrum of Vegas clubs, they are low Tier2 if not Tier3 these days. Sure, they pull a crowd, but they don't have the "it" factor that the new shiny clubs have. They may have 3 DJ's, but they don't have the DJ's that people will drop big $$ on tables to go see....Originally posted by wowzers83 View PostPure is always happening. Quite often they have 3 djs in summer. One main floor, EDC upstairs, and another in the corner upstairs.Upcoming Vegas Trips:
