  • Bar Hopping in Vegas

I'm staying at The Cosmo Thurs April 3- Monday April 7 (Final 4 weekend)
Plan on doing MDC Saturday, Wet Sunday and Saturday night one of the Tier one clubs, Friday a tier two club like Pure or something. Sunday after Wet, playing it by ear, but I am looking on Thurs night to switch things up and just hit up bars on the Vegas strip. I live all the way in the East coast and make it to vegas once a year for the last 7 years or so and never went bar hopping. Any help on where I can start on the strip for some good fun bouncing to a couple bars would be appreciated. Looking for a crazy up beat atomoshere at some bars for Thurs night
    Thanks

I have had good experiences at Mix Lounge, Mandarin Bar, Bond, Hyde, Rhumbar, V Bar. (listed South to North on the strip)...none are all-out raging, but upscale joints with a quality crowd.

Many folks on the site poo-poo the idea of Freemont St, but I happen to love the hipster vibe downtown. Downtown Cocktail Room, Griffin, Insert Coins, Beauty Bar, Commonwealth are all in close proximity and are sweet, unique spots. I've had an excellent time bar hopping on Freemont, always meeting good people.

I see you're looking for a "crazy up beat atmosphere": as for bars with that vibe, you may have to go somewhere like carnival court or coyote ugly or the like...i'm not really familiar with those spots though..

Rival has given you a solid list. Did DCR and Vanguard on Fremont last July for my birthday which was a Thursday and had a blast. A little heads up though, not that much of a crowd vs when we went back that Saturday night. Never been to Vegas during the March Madness scenario so I don't know if the crowds will be larger down there.

People hate on Fremont Street, because outside of the new bars it sucks.

Coyote Ugly can be fun, the bar itself isn't much but the staff might just be the best go-gos in town, yeah shocked me too.

carnival court is great fun in between harrahs and quad, its like a street party and it dosnt have that snobby crowd you get at most other clubs on the strip....and the best part is you can walk in there completly off your face and get in. Some hot lost tourists there too hhaah.

              Any other feedback?
Are there any other good bars not to far from Quad?
S far looking like CU and Quad, anybody know how far a part from each other?
              Thanks

The best 'bar' actually outside on the strip is Carnival Court which is near the Quad. But there is literally a bar every 200 feet or so if you just want to drink while walking the strip.

A night of non conventional Vegas is good.

Carnival Court definitely later in the evening hands down as others have said. Digging deeper...

Inside of Harrahs is Toby Keith's bar and on Thursday nights it's all you can drink for the ladies for $20 and it was a very good ratio girls to guys when we were there last July. Now add all you can drink for them.

We've done PBR Rock Bar. We did a $50 all you can drink deal there one night and got our money's worth also on the July trip.

If Diablos Cantina is open at Monte Carlo you may want to look into that. Not sure with the construction going on. They have roof parties with drinking deals. Bad night when we did that one.

Not to high-jack, but thinking of hitting PBR during the day for some beer pong and such (if we dont hit the pool). How was the vibe and pricing?
If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!
