  • Easiest clubs to ditch my group in?

    Weird question, but I'm serious.

I've got a bachelorette party in mid-May and one of the girls has already announced that her (annoying, needy, douchey) boyfriend is coming along with her. It's not my shindig, so my response of "well maybe you can keep your co-dependent ass at home instead" was overruled. Between this guy and half of the girls being painfully high maintenance, things are looking grim. Lol my friends have the worst friends.

Soooo I've gone to a new strategy. My friend Amanda and I are just gonna try to lose them every night. They are some clingy little fuckers, and I am easy to spot (6 feet in heels, not even counting my hair). I don't have a ton of experience in the larger clubs, since I normally gravitate away from EDM. So which spots will be the simplest to stage a getaway?then I can at least row them in as my official preference of club.
I'm not bitchy, I'm just drawn that way.

I would think Marquee, Hakk, and XS would fit the bill nicely. Just lead them into the circle of death at Marquee. Once their caught in the current, bail out the side and make your exit. XS you can go outside to get some air, say you have to go to the ladies room, boom you're outta there. Hakk, take them into the main room or up to the mezz then slip away when you see an opening.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Haha thanks! There's a circle of death in Marquee? That sounds perfect!

Anywhere with multiple rooms or an indoor/outdoor area is key. Marquee, Hakkasan, XS, Pure, maybe Chateau all provide built in "where are you guys" excuses. Top it off with an "oh no my cell phone is dying" and you should be set.

Take separate cabs to the club.....

            Anywhere crowded.

Or maybe when you've really had enough you will just tell them to get lost.

Either way this requires a TR when enacted.

If you want to go to a lesser tier club, it is easy to ditch people in Pure if memory serves me right. I haven't been there in a while but I remember there being a lot of hidden spaces.

Lol thanks for all the suggestions! I'm really hoping it lands during the May Invasion, because then it'll be easy to find other places to go!

Add a few more to the list...Tao & Lavo (smaller but gets packed). (Definitely +1 to Marquee, XS and Pure)

Stay away from the large 1 room clubs or smaller venues like the Bank, Tryst, Hyde, 1OAK (although it gets so packed in there you could pull off the great escape).

Circle of Death: In the Main room at Marquee there is a walkway around the dance floor that you can't go down to the dance floor (too packed) and you cant go up in the tables (blocked by security) and they don't let you stop anywhere. Think traffic circle in European Vacation..."look kids, Big Ben...Parliament". You can ditch out at the bar area in the back that only leads to the outdoor area (if opened) and back around into the hallway outside the main room.

                        This is hilarious.

Speaking from a guy's perspective in case you end up at any of the non-mega clubs:
If you get table/bottle service whatever you do DO NOT SIT DOWN. Your friends will block your ass in and will even come sit down between you and anyone not affiliated with the table. I had this happen last trip where I was chatting nicely to a girl at her table and the female shield of the group came and just sat between us to push me out. The one I was talking to called her a not so nice name and before anything could happen, I just said "Nice to meet you" and left. So DON'T SIT DOWN if you want to get away.

Now if you do get table service, but want to make sure you are always getting your drink, tip the waitress and runner and tell them you are going to be out wandering around and if they see you to bring you a drink. Doesn't always work cause some of them suck at this, or are just too focused on everyone else, but I have had success with this in the past.

If you don't get table service, then it is real easy to split up from them. Just tell them that you are going to the other bar to try and score a drink faster and ask that they get you one at that bar if you aren't back yet and to text you. Then use the old I didn't notice it trick.

Another thing to do is go find a table of guys that think the best way to impress you is to give away their entire table to girls. These are easy to spot. Bring over the girls you want to ditch to that table and make nice introductions. Then while they are chatting away, go more interesting people to talk to.

Finally one last desperate trick you might want to pull is once you get to the club "freak out" and tell Amanda that you left something "super important" in the room. Then the two of you leave to go to "find it" but really go to another club

I lose people in Vegas clubs without even trying, so it shouldn't be a problem doing it in purpose. Any club with multiple rooms and an outdoor option should suffice. For a lower tier club, go with Pure. I swear, that place was designed to lose your friends in.

Oh I can see drama coming in this groups future! I can't seriously believe the bachelorette is letting the friend bring Douche, that's sad. I'd make some new friends quick. It won't be hard to ditch, once everyone is drunk, I'm sure you will make new friends pretty fast. Get them blitzed before you go out and it's easy as pie.
