40th Birthday Party

Hi all, 6 of us (3 couples) coming to Vegas to celebrate my wife's 40th. Any suggestions on clubs where the ladies will feel comfortable (meaning that not everyone is 19, 105 lbs and perfect?). Don't get me wrong, want sophistication, yet a crowd that is mixed ages. Looking for table/bottle service. Thanks.

I wouldn't worry much about the ladies feeling uncomfortable because of who else is at the club. It's Vegas, there will be young ladies running around everywhere. If you would prefer a "B" crowd then I'd suggest sticking with a tier 2 like 1oak, Tryst, Hyde, Haze, or Tao.
But seriously, as long as you tend to your ladies and don't spend the night gawking at other ladies, you should go for a place that will provide an amazing experience and music your group will enjoy.

To be fair, they aren't 19 More like 21. Even still I think the predominant age bracket would be older than that - 23-27.

That being said, I wouldn't worry to much about it. There will be sloppy drunks anywhere you go, of all ages! Although, from your comments, I think a lounge/bar would be more up your alley than a club. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

My group is late 30s to early 40s and we see a mixed aged demo at all clubs. I think you should go to the club with the biggest wow factor and with music your wife will like to dance to.

Thanks all. the 6 of us are truly and eclectic group. 4 like to dance, 2 will just people watch. Ladies will be drinking wine/champaign. Like Dance music, not so much the electronic style. Price isn't an issue, however worried about bottle price as ladies will likely be drinking wine. $500 for vodka is ok, $500 for a bottle of white wine is just silly. Most important - birthday is a Monday. Any suggestions on where to go next Monday? I know Marquee and XS are big, but maybe too big for the style I was talking about above? Definitely want table service as a home base. Thanks for your ideas.

White wine isn't $500/bottle. I looked on (what might be an old) XS bottle service menu and wine is sold by the glass. Champagne is sold by the bottle and has plenty of options. Your table will come with a minimum spend and you can spend that on whatever you want.

You won't feel out of place at pretty much any club. Ages are all over the place and leans in the late 20s early 30s range for a lot because of $$$. Definitely older crowds than a regular US city dance club (excluding the big cities, LA, NYC,etc.) Get wine by the glass do a minimum based on a dollar amount vs # of bottles. The clubs wine selections from what I've found is sorta wack, but just get em drunk first on vodka it'll all taste the same. I think you may be stuck with XS or Marquee, but I think they will be good for what you're talking on Monday vs Saturday, not as crazy packed, but busy and a good Industry local crowd at both. XS has great deals you've prob seen in these forums and may be a little cheaper to get a main room spot vs Marquee since it's bigger. Both clubs are great.
