  • Which Club / Advice - Sat 5/3 (bach party)

    Hi Guys,

Question, helping out some friends ...

What clubs do you recommend with a budget of $3k All In (10 guys)

Is budget too low to get anything worthwhile?

    Date: Sat, May 3rd

    Appreciate the help,

    D

Budget is too low for 10 guys.

$3k all in is $2k min spend. 3 bottles in the tier 1 clubs. Thats gonna last no time. Plus you need a big table for 10 guys. You should be looking to spend $500 each so $5k.

Agree with tomm0 in that if you want the group of 10 to be at the one table, all guys, you'll have to pay the premium to get the real estate (bigger tables with higher minimums) to accommodate your group.

what if he did a table of 10 guys with a location that isn't ideal? would $3k all in be doable or is ~$500 each raelly the only way?

Depends on what tier clubs and location.. you could possibly do it for $3000, but you'd probably have a lot better time just ponying up the extra $$$ for a tier 1...

I dont think youll have much joy getting a table for 10 on a $2k minimum. If you were a host would you? I would baulk at 10 guys in the club spending that low.

At the end of the day, its Vegas. and without sounding cocky, you arent there to save money. If you want VIP in a vegas night club then $500 is pretty much the minimum you should be looking to spend. Once you have girls at your table and your drunk and having a laugh youll spend that anyway

Its better to understand up front and be realistic with yourself and your mates. That way if you outline what its REALLY gonna be (you arent gonna spend $300 whatever happens, even if you plan to) you not only are setting expectation but you are going to get a better table which will mean everyone has a better time.

10 guys... 3 bottles is nothing. Once you factor in the female factor it will be all gone within an hour. Then youll order more bottles and spend $500 or $600 each and will be stuck on the lame-ass table you had to accept cos you low-balled your estimate.

              So true...
Got a 2 bottles min on marquee ended up spending 4k...could have gotten a much better table so from now on we already DO a higher min...
3 bottles in 10 guys wont last...in 5 is already hard to make it last once you figure the girl factor in 10 impossible...otherwise you would just be sitting at a table with no alcohol and thats not exactly the point of having a table.

What would be the realistic difference between a $3k vs or a $5k all in spend?

Obviously more bottles but would table locaiton change that much too?

Doesn't $3k and $5k mean different things at different spots?

Minimum Spend does not usually include Tax, Auto-Gratuity, and LET (if applicable), which is another 28-38% on top of your minimum spend. This also doesn't include tips to host, bouncers, or runners. When you say, all-in that is inclusive of those taxes, but for all intents and purposes when people have a minimum spend that DOES NOT include the taxes and fees.

Minimum spend is two things 1) how much required to spend (bottles/shots/redbull etc) and 2) Table location/real estate

Then, two things contribute to the quality/location of a table:

                    1) The amount your minimum spend - clubs have different tiers for each "level" of the minimum spend. The higher you have your minimum spend, the more options your host has. Each club will vary to an extent.

                    2) Host tip - you can forgo SOME of the higher minimum spends to get better locations by tipping your host well.
If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!

Yes, the location changes when you up the min. It usually gets you closer to the dancefloor and a larger space. You can stretch a min farther at some clubs, and you might be able to swing a deal like a buy 3 get 1. However, for planning purposes it's always better to plan on the high side. It's also easier to get a good deal in your target range midweek.

Thanks for the responses guys. I am trying to convince the group the bigger the spend the better the time.

Half of our group gets it as they have been to Vegas and have done BS before, others not so much.

Can you guys give me an idea of what is possible for $3k all in versus a $4k all in at both a Tier 1 and Tier 2 club?

                        Thanks

10 guys, 5 hours at the club, pouring drinks for the ladies, will go through a LOT of bottles. My guess is 8+ bottles. Anyone else have experience with bottles consumed by a large group? My group of 3-4 lightweights goes through 4 bottles per club visit. Is your group going to stop drinking when the alcohol runs out? Hell no. So your group members will either leave the table, navigate across the club to the slammed bar, wait in the long line at the bar, pay $15+ for a drink, every time they want another drink or a woman wants a drink? Hell no. Your group will order bottles when the initial bottles run out. Do you want a table location based on 4-5 bottles or based on the 8 bottles you will end up ordering? That's the trick. You can do a $3,000 minimum spend table but then spend $5,000. Meaning you should have done a $5,000 minimum spend and gotten the benefit of the better table location. Have you planned hotel, days, nights yet? If so, let's see them. I bet we can all find ways for your group to reduce costs elsewhere and shift the funds to the Saturday night club.

No need to leave the table to order drinks, that's what the server is there for.

                              Just wanted to point out:

                              $3,000 min spend would = roughly $4,200 ($3000 x 1.3 +$300tip)

                              $5,000 min spend would = roughly $7,000 ($5,000 x 1.3 +$500tip)

So BIG difference in between getting a 3k and 5k mins....3k min tables will usually get you sniffing dance floor tables at Tier 2 clubs while 5k mins will usually get you set up on the dance floor at Tier 1's....

But since OP was asking about ALL-IN numbers, I'd recommend using my rule of thumb for having a fun night out. TWO bottles for every FOUR guys. Each 1 liter bottle will yield 22 1.5 ounce shots. That's about 5 shots each guy for one bottle. The other bottle would be designated "bottle rat" for use with the ladies. Depends on how many times you turn over on the girls but you might even have some liquor for yourself left over. The key to this plan is also a good pre-game - get a good enough buzz coming in and you won't need much to keep it going.

So using the plan laid out above, you'll do just fine with a $2-2.5k min(which will come out to $3-3.5 all in) at a tier 2 club (1OAK, Haze, Tao). If you're really worried about location just make sure tipping at least $300 and make sure the host knows off the bat.

BTW, just wanted to point out my plan states "fun night out". Of course if you were going for "epic hangover like raunchiness" SPEND MORE MONEY!
