Thanksgiving weekend: Saturday 1oak vs tryst?

I'm looking for a good crowd. Good mix of music not just EDM..
I got quoted for
1oak-$680 2 bottles of goose/belvedere total (including tax/tip)
Tryst-$550 2 bottles of goose before tax/tip


Seems to be very similar. I've never been to either club so I'm looking for any advice.


I also keep reading on the web about people being (kicked off their table once bottles are done) or waiting forever even though they have bottle service. Also heard a lot of "the promoted/host told me this much and my bill was WAY more"

Which night is this?

People being kicked off their tables once the bottles are done is very rare and only really ever heard of happening at The Bank (though i've seen it happen everywhere at least once) when it is really busy.

Waiting in line: you should always contact whichever host you set it up through upon arrival to make sure this doesnt happen.

The Bill: There shouldn't be surprises...usually when people say "the promoter/host told me this much and my bill was WAY more" is because they either forget to take the taxes and gratuity into account or end up getting so drunk they order more bottles and forget that they did. When you get introduced to your waitress you are reminded what minimum you have to hit/what deal you got.

I was skeptical about going through a promoter/host after reading all these stories. I almost booked through an outside company which was pretty pricey compared to what I was given from hosts. But I feel confident in these host since they have been very helpful and informative.

This is almost a toss up... 1Oak has better music in my opinion if you like hip-hop and better performers, dancers, etc...
Tryst is a better looking club a lil more elegant. Both bottle deals are solid but I think you will get a better spot at 1Oak for that min. There's a few things that you do have to watch at Tryst. Tryst has a few really really small tables and some on the patio they sit the low mins at. I've had low mins sat on the patio, in the cold, then they will do the handshake hustle to move you inside. That's my prob with tryst when it's cold, can't happen at Oak, no outside.

hope you didnt read all those stories on yelp...yelp sucks when it comes to reviews for clubs. browse around these forums and you'll see the same host names appear over and over because they are extremely professional and will take care of you.

considering you are only doing a small minimum I would do 1oak over tryst. You'll be getting a better table location for sure.
