  • NYE: a few questions

First post so go easy on me.
I have been reading these forums for about 2 weeks now to try and get a better idea of how things work in Vegas.
Most of the information on here is top class and I feel I have a bit of an idea of how things work now.

There is a group of 7 of us, all guys coming from Ireland Fri 27th Dec - Fri 3rd Jan.
The main reason is to experience Vegas for the New Year. However we would rather get into a night club early than Q after midnight for hours to get in somewhere. I was hoping someone could recommend, if possible, a good club for NYE that would have an outdoor terrace that would be easily accessed for the countdown and fireworks?

XS, Marquee and Surrender have the most accessible outside areas. Pure, Chateau, Hakkasan and Lavo all have outside areas, but nothing the size of the other three.

Weve been looking at the possibility of perhaps visiting one of the hotels off the strip such as the Voodoo Rooftop club or one of the nightclubs at Palms as they have more reasonable table service offers.
Are these clubs a bad idea on NYE as they may be further away from all of the action?

Voodoo is prob a NoDoo, no action there and the hotel is way, way far from everything. Palms, uh warming up, but again in terms of talent, not sure who is there but may not be a bad option. What is your budget? Most places with good dj/performers will have packages (expensive) you have to pre pay online for typically.

Between the 7 of us we were thinking of maybe a budget of $2500 which isn't very much for NYE (we may be better with just prepay tickets for somewhere?), although we were thinking of perhaps getting bottle service another night between 27th dec and 3rd jan apart from NYE and the SAT 28TH as were going to calvin at Hakk. Any help here re: good clubs on good nights and offers etc is much appreciated.

Ive also been reading about some clubs doing open bars for a few hours before midnight. Are these generally too good to be true and not actually worth it?

I'm no expert to NYE in Vegas but I've been following it for my trip this NYE.

I would use this rule, expect to pay 3x of a weekend night rate for anything.

Take Hotels, a room I've paid $300 for a weekend, is costing me $800. And clubs are charging from
75-100 with Hak charging the top of $250 (Male) for Calvin Harris with no open bar.

I've heard the Open bars are disorganized and sometimes you don't get much selection and that may even run out of some items.
I would say your $2500 would not be enough at a A list club, it would be more like 5k. If you are in town after NYE I bet you could make that budget go so much further.

Since the strip will be closed to traffic, that's were I will be spending NYE, with 300k of my Closest friends !

Good luck, I'm sure it will be a blast !

FYI this year at TRYST we are not raising bottle prices or creating any crazy bottle minimums for new years eve so with little john spinning whom plays top 40's it should be a fun affordable party for everyone. let me know if anyone needs anything. thank you

A group of 11 (6 gi/5 gu) of us will be headed to Vegas for NY week and are def. interested in a getting a table at Surrender for 12/31. How much should we expect to pony up? And the host? I checked out the host contact list on the site, but only found ones for Marquee & XS (we're looking for the outside accessible areas).

Enjoy your time in LV for NYE but load that wallet up buddy! It will be emptied with the elevated costs of everything.

http://www.wantickets.com/Events/135...ve-with-Diplo/ that will give you the package details for Surrender. If i were you i would consider some other venues. Most clubs are doing minimums now while Surrender is not. 4k + to sit in the dome and you only get 3 bottles. All Light venues are minimums which is a lot more bang for your buck.

Surrender Dome Table for 10 guests
Includes (1) Bottles Veuve Champagne (2) Bottles of Sponsored Liquor

Surrender Table Packages are inclusive of Admission Tickets, Bottles specified per package, Tax, and Server Gratuity.

That bottle of Vueve better be a 3L or else that's a complete rip off.

It's NYE. Prices are 3x the busy weekend price. That's why I'm buying me a bottle o Jack and hitting the strip :-)
