  • Hakkasan Pavilion vs Light Tier 2

Hey so I'm going into LV in Nov for a bachelor party. With the way the schedule is working out we are going to have 1 night of clubbing (boo hoo i know, but one night the groom to be wants to do the whole dinner/gamble/strip club thing). Half the group is not really experienced in LV so its my duty to plan this out.

I realized after booking flights/rooms that UFC is that night so the MGM will be lively as hell. On the plus side we have a marquee suite at the MGM so it'll be a good vibe.

So with the budget we have we are getting priced at about the same for a pavilion table at Hak or a Tier 2 (last row table at light). Any thoughts on which would be a better setup?

    The way we see it

    Hak

    Pros

-Tiesto is DJing and every time I have seen him he has killed it.
-Hak should be pretty crazy after UFC
-Heard amazing things about the club
-The crew really wants to go here

    Cons

    - Not sure how good the pavilion is or if its set up away form the action (hearing things that cant see the DJ etc)
    - with UFC/Tiesto chance our reservation gets bumped?

    Light

    Pros

-Everyone on JC raves about the setup at Light
-Alesso is DJing and he is pretty good in his own right

    Cons

    - The rest of the group has heard a lot about Hak and really has there heart set on it.
    - Heard the place is kid of small

Any thoughts? Different clubs to consider? (I haven't been to these two) Really just want to show the best time possible and a full Vegas experience.

    Thanks!

tier 2 at light...i dont see the point in going for tiesto and not being able to see him perform. pavilion doesnt give you a view of the dj. table bumps should never be a concern as long as you arrive on time and are dealing with a good host.

Looks like your talking about 11/15-16

First I would say to groom we HAVE to go to a nightclub two nights. You can fit dinner/strip club around a nightclub.
There are so many great clubs in vegas its worth experiencing a few of them.

Light vs Hak Pavilion- I wouldn't compare. Lights tables all have full view, Hak is so huge it has multiple rooms some with limited/non direct view of dance floor.

Sounds like your talking about a $5k ish spend.
I'm going to mention something a little different just because your new and Light and Hak have some of the highest taxes/fees in vegas. Meaning its min spend + 30% or 42% in taxes/tip.
You can get free limo rides/ free entry and even $100 bottles at strip clubs during happy hours like before 8pm or 9pm.
And you can get presale tickets for the Nightclubs.

For example Tiesto is a $30 ticket if you buy today but door cover will probably be $100 http://ticketdriver.com/hakkasanlv/b...s/event/109953

Not saying you shouldn't do nightclub table just saying it can get really pricey fast.
If you just want to checkout a nightclub buy a presale ticket, walk around see if you like the club, where you want to be in the future- before dropping 5k.

@dex -- working with Thomas so im confident in I wont be bumped... just was wondering the effect UFC might have on Hak... Do even the front tables of the pavilion have no view of the DJ? I thought i read somehwere here it did as on big DJ nights they take down that partition?

@artedm not really new been a part of JC for a couple years now, used the resources here quite a bit; just not a big poster. Even a survivor of mAyOD 2012! money isnt the biggest issue just working in a budget we have set, call me a bit spoiled but in Vegas im all about table service. I'd prefer to do two night at clubs but the groom and couple of the groomsman and not clubbers in general. One night is all i convinced em for. Maybe once we get there I can change their mind.

Good point. The only time I've been in the pavilion has been on a sunday and from i could tell the DJ was not visible. I'm not sure if its any different on a friday/staurday. I'm sure thomas can answer that for you though.

            Rpun-
sorry didn't mean to say your new- just trying to make the general point if your not familiar with the club its best to check it out first before a huge spend.

Just keep in mind all Light tables have full dance floor view- (its a smaller club)
For Hak the pavilion room is next to the main room and some of those tables in back are limited view of main room- you might try for Mezzanine main room?

If you can lock in a front pavillion table you should be good (might take a higher handshake). You can see the DJ and dancefloor and traffic is good too.

Light is an awesome venue so hopefully you can convince the group to have a second club night (I usually just spam my group with Youtube clips of the venue I want to go to and that usually does the trick).

my vote is for light. there are no bad tables there, especially if you are going to be t2. it has the most wow-factor in my opinion and will definitely impress the group if they haven't been there.

Light, in my opinion not even close considering the table locations/mins, etc.. . this along with the other reasons already mentioned win the battle. But there's 2 other reasons.
                    - the UFC fight will have it's own... "unique" crowd at that hotel
                    - The UFC Fight + Tiesto, may cause another epic sword fight to ensue.

Kaz totally has crossed my mind but the crew is really adamant on Hak as its what they have all heard about.

Also I think i may have misspoke when talking about locations I said Tier 2 but what i did mean was the last row of tables. So I guess that should be called Tier 3. Comparable price to what Thomas told me would be the best table in the pavilion. Does that change the view of anyone ??

                      Thanks for the feedback guys!

If they are set on hakk, then what can you do? You've gotten some real good advice and it's up to you to roll with it or not. There is very minimal distance between the tiers at Light. It's DF, Tier 1, Tier 2. Tier 2 is right behind Tier 1 but it's raised above, stadium style and total separated. The GA can't get to the table areas at Light (except the hot girls), which I love personally, keeps god space. Only area I would equate to that pavilion would maybe the balcony at Light, but that still has advantages.

Basically. If you wanna go Hakkasan, it'll be 70% guys.

                          Thats your argument right there.

                          Light is also better.

                              12 guys...

Put it this way - me and my mate went first weekend of August for a $1200 min. Thats two of us.

Id imagine youd need to be doing $3k or $4k minimum, probably more as 12 guys is a lot of real estate. Dont forget the 40% tax/grat and handshake.
