Bunch of Aussies - first time in Vegas

So were heading to Vegas from the 30th of December 2013 till the 2nd of Jan 2014

Obviously were here for NYE, which we have tickets for Calvin Harris, just wondering if anyone know if it's possible to get on a door list for this night? There's 5 girls and 2 guys in our group

Also we wanted to see if there were any promoters who could get us drink specials for the other nights were there, we plan to party quite a bit, were aged between 21 and 24.

Finally, we booked a package deal that includes entry into SX, a table including the fee, but we know we need to get 2 bottles off our own back, any chance any one knows a promoter that can help us out with a deal/special for this?

So im more versed in Vegas in the summer... but the same applies really.

When you say door list, i presume you mean guest list. In essence - no you wont get it. A) its NYE B) you have guys in your party C) its calvin harris and D) unless you're a bunch of 10/10 models you aint gonna get it... and who is! If you have pre-sale just get there early and you wont queue for long.

Drinks specials will be thin on the ground id imagine. You'd probably get a deal on the 30th. But its Monday so that means XS or Marquee. You should be able to get a 2 bottle of goose deal for $495 at XS through Bobby Yeadon - his contacts are on this site, just search his name. Marquee im less sure of.
Wednesday night I imagine would be pretty quiet in the grand scheme of things with people going crazy on NYE, but Noah may be able to help you out with a deal at Light. He's NoahRam on this site, again search him out.

Finally - package deals are a huge no-no - you're wasting your time and money. When you say SX you mean XS nightclub. Cancel that - you're literally throwing away hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

All those companies are doing is exactly what I and all the others on this board do... That being you contact the host direct at XS, say you have a 7 person party of 5 girls and two guys and thats it.

What night is it can I ask that you've booked? The reason I ask is outside the big nights of Friday and Saturday and holidays at XS you can get a 2 Grey Goose $495, 2 Grey Goose/2 Moet for $595 if you know the right people (Bobby Yeadon).

So - if youve paid anything to this package deal you need to get it refunded, cos even without a deal, you'd get a 2 bottle minimum table for $1200 - and thats what its gonna cost you anyway (bottles are about $600 in XS).

This site is Nirvana for vegas, you should never, ever use package deal or "VIP" companies, they simply charge you for what you can do yourself at the price of a phone call or a free email.

We haven't booked yet, but we were about to book for Monday the 30th... How much would it cost to get a table and entry etc if we didn't go through the VIP company..

On Dec. 30th xs has not announced headliner so its to early to even worry about.
On Dec. 31 if you have tickets to Calvin Harris- there is nothing else you need to work on- your set.
On Jan. 1 no announced events yet so have to wait and see.

Presale tickets will get your group in easily. Just keep in mind tables are likely to be at a premium cost because of NYE

Also promoters aren't going to get you "drink specials" Just keep in mind bottle prices in vegas clubs if your looking to get drunk cheap- better to do that before the club.

Yeah so definately, 100%, defiantly do NOT book that package. Its a huge waste of money.

So if theres no specials on the Monday then its gonna mean a 2 bottle minimum for your group, which will be $1200 (2 x $600 per bottle). On top of that you have to pay 28% tax and gratuity (approx $350), tip your security ($50) and a host "handshake" for who ever you arrange this with, typically around $200 for a Monday.

So your total will be $1800 if there's no specials.

However - im sure that Bobby Yeadon - who works for XS, will be able to get you the 2 Grey Goose / 2 Moet deal at $595 or maybe $695 for a Monday night the day before NYE. Just contact him. Then your total will be around $1200 between you all as opposed to $1800.

I should add - that two bottles of vodka wont last 7 people any time whatsoever - you WILL get more, but thats not what you're asking.
