  • Concierge at non-club Hotel

So I am staying at a hotel without a club in it. The concierge says he can get us on a VIP list at several specific clubs (not all of them) and could also make table reservations at those clubs. So my question is: does the hotel concierge have any real pull with these clubs? Would the concierge getting us on a list really get us in faster or a better table? I ask because he had only a few specific clubs which makes me think they usually steer business to those clubs which could give us a slight upper hand over the average club goer. Just tapping into the vast knowledge on this website to see if we should go this way or go another route to get into a club.

Are you looking to do table service at a club or general entry? If you are looking for a table then the best way is to decide which club you want to go to and then contact one of the direct hosts that work at that venue. This site is filled with recommendations and referrals for well-vetted hosts. Working with these direct contacts you know you will in good hands, get the best deal and value for your money, etc.
If you are just looking for general entry into a club then the fastest/cheapest method is presale tickets, which can be bought online for most of the big clubs.

Which clubs are you considering? We can give you host contacts to reach out to and you could compare their offer to what the concierge is telling you. My money is on the JC recommended host getting you the better deal!

Still trying to figure out which club. It will be either a Wednesday or Thursday night, but not both. Just want the best experience. And it's just two of us. We like EDM, but would be open to other formats if the places and prices are better. And we would prefer not to be hit with a two-bottle minimum. We can't drink that much. We haven't been to any Vegas clubs so I have no real context of which ones fit best for our preferences. I have been reading a lot of threads lately and still can't figure it all out. Any suggestions?

checkout club lineups to see who the headline dj is so you get a sense of the music.
hip hop, trance, edm, open format, big name, etc
On wens would probably checkout Light
on Thursday maybe free entry to Hak or if you want a bottle deal Tryst.

Personally I would go with presale tickets or just entry for two people and save your money for a nice dinner if your comfortable dancing/being on the dance floor.

Hosts generally get assigned a hotel to visit weekly and grab business from vip and concierge departments. I would imagine they are gonna quote you generic prices and wouldnt be able to offer deals like a host from the venue might.

This is tricky, it depends. You're trusting this concierge to know a good host, he personally can't do Shi.. he has to call someone he knows that works with the club in particular. Now... he could be sending you thru some shit host, an Indie host that he gets a kick from that's not worth shit either, or... he may actually know a good host. To be safe, use this site to find your connects, not the concierge, if you're unsure.
