Club Scene in January

I have a trip booked for Jan. 10-13. How is the club scene in January? I've been to vegas many times, but never in the winter. Shorter lines and less bottle minimums?

I've been the last two January's for birthday trips. From my experience the top clubs are still packed....other clubs maybe a little less so depending on the night. There are some deals to be had, but some clubs have a smaller capacity since the outdoor areas are shut down on certain nights. CES and AVN Awards are both during Jan so that keeps demand up (forget the exact dates).

your trip is sandwiched the weekend between CES and AVN.. with those $$$$ events plus the normal weekend visitors from CA, i wouldnt expect too many deals. If you can, push your trip back one week and you'll have a much better chance at a hookup.

Still decent crowd. Some clubs just dont open up other sections so it still keeps everyone within an area that gives a good environment.

Come the following week when it's my BDay - 23rd, and go where I go. I leave a wake after my path of destruction... No but seriously I went out every day almost and a few of the clubs thru some BDay parties for me so it was awesome. To sum it up , the night time still goes hard, the day time is pretty much just Saturday and Sunday (day parties, football, etc..), rest of the day time is slow and cold. Follow the Industry Nights and events and you will be all good.

Compared to NYE yes, NYE, just that night, is like a Memorial day weekend at the club. The other nights seem like regular weekends. Again, do the Saturday /Sunday Day Parties along with the Industry Night parties Wed/Thurs, and the weekend will be good at most of the clubs. Will be not necessarily a lot slower but not too many big spenders so you can get some good deals/ locations etc.

There's no such thing as a slow night in Vegas, so any time of year you go the clubs will be full. That said, it is a less popular time of year (unless it clashes with an expo, which it sounds like your dates do) so you can get better deals on tables.

This upcoming January, CES is January 7-10 (I'll be there for that) and AVN is from January 13-16. I've been in January and it was still pretty busy.

Remember that in addition to the conventions, you've got people driving in from California, Arizona, etc for the weekends.

I did Lavo Brunch this past Saturday. I had to work Saturday night and I had to turn down as I saw a "good kinda shit show" ensuing around 4-430. Really, really good looking crowd, packed, very high energy. Sunday whenever Hyde 14 is goin, go!
