Questions about NYE

Hi guys, I am coming back to sincity to the UFC fight and Nye...
I am wondering what is the best thing to do on the december 31.

Do People usually pass midnight in the clubs or on the street? Are there fireworks at midnight?

We are planning to be at midnight in front of bellagio fountains and then go to marquee around 1am. That would be a good idea?

What you guys usually do?

If you want to go to a club on NYE, I highly suggest getting there early. I wouldnt risk trying to get in at 1am. Id imagine most, if not all would be at capacity.

all those people on the streets, they dont go to any club?
I dont know much of the NYE in Vegas, but it seems like the street crowd and stuff are a nice place to stay.
If we could stay there, see the midnight fireworks, do some champagne showers and then enter any club, it would be perfect.

Even with a presale ticket do you think its gonna be dificult to enter?

I've been able to get into Tao a couple of times after midnight on NYE - 09, 10 and was about to get into Tryst (one of the chicks forgot her id) in 2012. We would party on the strip for the countdown and then hit up the club around 1230 for reduced prices.

Thats exactly what we want to do.
Do you think it would be risky to try it on marquee or hakassan this year?

Some good tips:
The strip from Russell to Sahara closes to traffic at 6pm- Turns into giant pedestrian mall.
Once it hits 11pm hotels stop letting non hotel guests in- reopening around 1230am

In terms of clubs- think how big a club you are going to-some clubs in vegas have huge capacity some are smaller.
Also because of strip closure think about how your going to get there and how long it will take you!

Last year I remember XS was selling outdoor tickets for like half the price of indoor.
Keep in mind the temperature also!

Stay in the hotel where you plan on partying, or close to it. It'll make life a lot easier. Buy pre-sales if you're not getting a table. You'll be fine if you do all of those things. In other words, commit to a venue, get your hotel room, and be done with it.

There is a strong chance Marquee will hit capacity on NYE and going there at midnight-1am is very very risky. It has an outside area, last year had a tent of part of it which was a little annoying and cold. XS had the same issue, hit capacity all the time in the Winter because the outside part, which holds more people than the inside, was closed. I went to tryst NYE this past year, insanely packed and hit capacity I believe. So definitely have a plan with a host just rock NYE inside the club.

I remember all of the clubs being close to or at capacity early in the night with long lines even at 2-3am. If you want to do a club I'd take Dnix's advice and go early.

better not risk
