  • Vegas first timer and members of my group want to do this. Possible Feedback?

So, this will be my first time going to Vegas. I have read enough on here to know that bottle service is the way to go, but members of my group want to use this "VIP" party bus service. Can I please get some feedback? I think their main concern is money, but I'm trying to tell them that after paying cover and drinks, it's smarter to go with bottle service.

Here's the link to what they want to do. - http://www.vegas.com/tours/las-vegas...ip-club-crawl/

How many people in your group?

Assuming all are "average" drinkers, my guess is each person would spend:

    Tour Cost: $69
B1G1 Lounge Drinks: $20 (for two $15 drinks)
    1st Club (2 Drinks): $40
    2nd Club (2 Drinks): $40
    3rd Club (2 Drinks): $40
    TOTAL: $209 per person

With the clubs listed on the tour you could probably do bottle service at any of them for the same price per person, or very close.
So as far as cost goes, probably about the same as doing bottle service. The real difference will be in your experience for the night.
Personally, I would hate to be tied down to someone else's agenda and timeline.

I think these tours go something like this:

9:30pm - Meet at Lilly Lounge
10:30pm - Walk in to The Bank
    11:30pm - Depart Bank
12:00am - Walk in to Haze
    1:00am - Depart Haze
1:30am - Walk in to LAX (Last stop)

Usually the party is just getting going at 12:30-1:00am...so the experience at the first two clubs isn't going to be the same as the last one. If you just want to see what a bunch of different clubs look like, then these tours fit the bill. If you want a full on club experience, I think they miss the mark...just my opinion.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

This is very insightful and thank you so much for your feedback. I've been trying to communicate to the group that the money will inevitably be spent one way or another, but I think it's the up-front cost that freaks people out.

Another thing that has made it slightly difficult to get things arranged is that some of the hosts that I've called to inquire about Bottle Service have been a little less than helpful. From what I've seen on here, it seems that most of the hosts are more than willing to set up an awesome night for someone, so maybe I caught them off guard or busy.

All I know is that I get how it works for the most part. I am all about taking care of the people that take care of me. I myself care about having one of the most memorable nights in Vegas with my Fiancee' and friends and if someone can provide that for me, I am very much willing to take care of them.

Happy to help...I can give you a pretty accurate idea of what your cost will actually be if you can provide the following:

        Size of Group
        Guys/Girls
        Dates of travel
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

Listen to chuck... he's the master here.

You need to tell your friends this:

They're likely spending 300-500 to fly to vegas. You're likely dropping $100ea/night on rooms. You're setting aside all this time and money to set up for a great vacation, then you're nickle and diming it while you're there. Would you go to hawaii but skip the beach? Go to Colorado but not go skiing? Vegas is LARGELY about the nightlife and if you cheap out, you'll end up in a crappy dead club surrounded by crappy people and think "Damn, this was a waste'. Or you can set aside an extra couple hundred bucks (on a vacation that's already costing you a thousand) and make it legendary. Easy decision IMO.

I had the same problem as you with my group that I took out for a bachelor party in July. they were uneasy about gettin daybeds or cabanas because of the upfront cost. Sold them on one setup for saturday. Friday we hit a pool GA and they immediately all said "Let's get a bed" after paying $35 for a mixed drink. You finally "GET" Vegas once you realize you're GOING to spend the money anyways, you might as well get some real estate for it. Especially with groups of 3-4+ guys.

Regarding the VIP tour thing... eh. YOu'll likely have fun.. but you'd have more fun doing something like trying to get a setup from one of the hosts on here (like Joey Orr's B2G1 deal on friday at 1OAK) and do it right.

For comparison... I talked this guy from another forum into getting a daybed at a pool party. His group had the same reservations as you guys. Here is his feedback:

Just my 2 cents... I'm on the elder age of attending a Crazy Pool party and was never a Club guy....

Went to a Bachelor party last month and somewhat reluctantly chipped in $400 for a "Pad" at edge of the Pool At Encore...

HOLY #### What an amazing time!!!! Highly recommended. Did I say HOLY ####!!!!!!~@#!#$
The pad location was the best in the place right by the DJ booth....

Not sure I would feel the same way without "Bottle Service - Prime Location".... But, we had the spot everyone wanted to be at....

For anyone on the fence - especially with a group / Bachelor party, I consider it a No Brainer MUST do and THE Best time of the Weekend...

Funny, as someone who used to go Strip Club insane at Bachelor Parties in Vegas - Most of the excitement was eclipsed by the Pool Party / Bottle Service..... I stress location and Bottle service b/c waiting for drinks with no prime locations probably wouldn't have been near the experience. Listen to msavard.
ETA: This isn't touting my advice as badass... just the basic advice that everyone here gives. Splurge a little more...enjoy a lot more.

When is your trip? If you contact the hosts a lengthy ways out often the hosts will be less than responsive. If you are within a week of the trip you should get lots of feedback from the hosts.

Our group got roped into doing the tour/club hopping/party limo thing on our first ever trip to vegas. It was about 6/7 years ago and we didn't know any better at the time.....

It can be fun..... but only being allowed to stay in each club for an hour or two can be annoying, and you spend a lot of time just rounding up the group as everyone is all over the place (as you don't have a table as home base).... and with Vegas traffic you can spend a lot of time travelling between clubs too, yeah you have music and drinks in the limo/bus but lets be honest you would rather be in a club with a million dollar sound system and top DJ....

Since that experience we have never gone down that road again, we always do tables now.... you get to relax, enjoy the warm up DJ, mingle with the crowd, meet new people and by the time the main DJ comes on..... you are ready to go crazy... the whole night is an experience and you wont get the same feel by changing venues every few hours...

Just my thoughts, hope it helps....

Sorry for the late reply. Well since I last posted those members of my group that wanted to do the club crawl have basically bailed on the bottle service idea. But, we're still wanting to do it.

Our group is now looking like 7 people. (3 girls and 4 guys)

Also, the night we are looking to get the BS is on Saturday, Sept 7th.

Since you are talking tomorrow I would suggest the following:

1- Get your all in $ number from the group so you know how much can be spent. Remember the bill adds 20% auto gratuity, 8% sales tax, don't know if the LET 10% tax is auto or dj depending and you have to tip ($ is what we tip initially when our group meets them) the host for setting you up (Our group does $100 per bottle x min requirement plus $100 since location is not the biggest thing for us), tip the busboy ($30) and bouncer ($50) if there is one covering the area also.

Go to the bottom of Chuck's response and click on nightclub menus to give you an idea of what bottles cost at the clubs on there. I think it's 28 pages of club menus

Use this link to look at feedback regarding the hosts
                    http://forums.jackcolton.com/showthr...ciation-Thread

Text the JC host of the club(s) you are interested in and let them know # of peeps guy/girls ratio, and your all in number. Then commit to one. If you are feeling out multiples give the courtesy text to the ones you opt not to use this time as you never want to burn a bridge.

                    Hope this helps.

If your group was comfortable with that $210/person figure I gave you then that works out to $1,470.00

                      Spending Min = $1,100
                      Server Gratuity = $220
                      Tax = $89
                      TOTAL = $1,409
                      Host Tip = $100
                      Runner Tip = $20
                      Security Tip = $20
                      GRAND TOTAL = $1,549 (so $225/person)

That $1,100 min will get you 2 bottles at a tier 2. Everyone knows my favorite Tier2 is 1OAK.
You should be able to get a pretty good spot with that minimum/tip and early arrival (say 10:30 or so).

Other options for that min that you could look at would be Tryst, Haze, or Lavo.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.
