AVOID WILL.I.AM LIKE THE PLAGUE. Surrender is great, but he sucks.

    Do Eclipse instead

If you are neither, then sit back, let the rich and/or good looking people sort their shit out, and then take their scraps. Booking early is not going to get you ahead of the rich and/or good looking people. Sucks unless you are rich or good looking. But that's what makes Vegas so great. It is completely transparent."

I'd rather go to Surrender and drown myself in the pool

We saw Will I am at EBC a couple of years ago and thought he was pretty good. He certainly had the whole joint rockin but maybe it isn't hard to get the pool party crowd going... To each his own I guess...

Seems like a lot of negativity towards Will.i.am. We are flying in this Fri at 9:30pm so I am just worried about rushing to go to Surrender if we go with Wolfgang Gartner. I plan on buying pre-sale tickets. I am curious, which plan do you guys think is better? Thanks!

Well, one would involve me drowning myself in the XS pool, the other is ok.

Wolfgang Gartner is good - Surrender won't have as big a fight to get in late, unlike XS / Hakk where you would have a bit more of an issue.

If you haven't been to Light yet, then maybe consider that for Saturday night (Stafford Brothers). Or Calvin Harris @ Hakkasan.

Our group saw Will I Am at XS in july and yeah...... he was ok, not great..... it was a great crowd and a very busy night and we had a great time. However, if you are really looking to see a great DJ perform then there will be better options in town.

Ok, he must have vastly improved because I just saw him last night. The inside and outside of XS was SLAMMMED AND his set was on point. Personally I like the DJs that can merge house, trap, dub, and a lil hip hop. He pulled that off last night, plus sang his actual songs which was cool I thought....

I guess it's good for everyone to see a second opinion. I guess we can agree that Will.I.Am draws a decent crowd. It just depends on your preference in music and if he happens to play a good show on the night you see him.

That was our opinion when we saw W I Am at Encore 2 years ago. Mix of house, hip-hop, EDM, and whether you like it or not, he actually does a good job with the mixing in and out of tracks. It was a Labor Day Sat at EBC and the place was packed an rocking. Again, a matter of opinion, but we didn't think he was so bad and maybe as others alluded, it is just as much a function of venue and crowd around. I will say that if you are pur EDM, and are there for that alone and not the party, he may not be your thing....

Actually agree with Kaz and Ps17..... if you enjoy a DJ who plays a mix of genres then you will be fine....

I mostly stick with DJ's who play strictly progressive/electro house so my opinion was definitely from that perpective....

Just to reiterate.... we did have a great time on the night... the venue was packed, the crowd was partying hard and a good time was had by all!
