  • Vegas first timer??

Hi all! My friend will be turning 21 in September. We currently have a weekend booked at the Cosmopolitan and want to get all the information we can on where to go to make this an awesome 21st experience. We are definitely interested in going to the Marquee Nightclub but like I said it is going to be pretty much the first time for all of us so we have no idea what the best way to go about it is. Should we purchase tickets beforehand and are there any perks that come with staying at the Cosmo? What other places would you guys recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated, so glad I found this forum!

I would recommend checking out light, club is pretty sick. Purchasing tickets before hand will pretty much almost guarantee entry and I believe you'll be able to get in quicker. As for staying at Cosmo i've heard you may be able to get in free to Marquee, my friend did last time he stayed there but maybe someone else can confirm that.

Sept 1, 2 is Labor day weekend
      Sept 14th is fight night
      Sept 21-22 is iheartradio
Sept 27-29 nightclubs have great lineups (just fyi Tomorrowworld is an Atlanta 9/27-29)
      How many in your group?

The marquee free hotel entry works +1 with separate line I think Friday day and night club and sunday day club and Monday nightclub- just double check with concierge

On a weekend you can't go wrong with either Marquee, Light, Hakkasan or XS.

They will all play EDM so if that is ok with your group then they are easily the best spots on a Fri/Sat.

Also, it is worth getting in touch with one of the JC approved hosts (for the venue you decide on).... they should be able to hook you up on the night and make sure entry is smooth and fast...

That's actually great that you reminded me, how exactly do you go about getting a host and what does that entail? I guess I'm a little confused on how that works. Saturday night at midnight we will definitely be at the Marquee, but I'm worried due to what I have seen on the posts, that if we get there at midnight we might have to wait a while to get in. Could you give me more details on how the whole host thing works? Thanks

I checked out the website for light are they only open when they have events going on? I couldn't find where to get tickets just for the nightclub on the date I was looking for. I also noticed something about a club called "Eclipse" do you know anything about that one? Thanks so much for the suggestions btw.

Hey, don't worry, it's a little daunting at first but definitely easier than you think...

For Marquee give Justen Crews a call/text on 303-229-0618

Tell him what night you want to be there, what time you can get there, how many girls/guys in your group and what you want (table or just needing to be walked in/guestlist)... he will arrange and give more info if you need.... when it comes to the night, just give him a call when you get to Marquee and he will come and meet you... easy

For Light give Noah Ortiz a shout 323-919-6529....

                PS
Mention that you found them on JC and they will take care of you...

                PPS
Eclipse is the night time pool party at Light.... the inside wont be open and the whole party is outdoors... good times...

Here are five easy first timer tips:

                  1. Understand whats going on in vegas for example Holiday vs Non Holiday weekend, fight weekend etc.
                  2. look at EVERY pool/ nightclubs lineup- see who the DJ is- for example Hip Hop, trance, dubstep, open format, edm. COMPARE and find what you like best! On club websites and www.wantickets.com
                  3. Once you find what events you want to go to- then see how many in your group and also BUDGET. Are you just trying to get in the club or do you want a table. If you just want entry you can buy presale tickets if you want a table you can contact a host who works at the club and see the minimum spends. Realize presale tickets for girls are around $20 each.
                  4. Daytime pools are open from around 11am-6pm and nightclubs 11pm-5am. Music will be going the whole time but headliners are usually on around 3pm at pool parties and 1am at nightclubs. Also there are some night time pool parties.
                  5. don't forget to come in dress code and have id.
