  • Table Service Through Club Host

    Hi!

I have only had Bottle Service previously through companies who sort it out for you (e.g redcarpet VIP etc). They quote me an all in price, I give them cash on arrival and it is all sorted for me. Easy.

How does it work if you do it through a direct club host like Eric Chine of XS? I am concerned about the cash side of things. Reading reviews it sounds like you have to give various amounts of cash to about 6 different people from security to hosts to runners (whatever a runner is?) and I think (especially after a few drinks) i'll have no idea what money is going where. Plus being from the UK, I will probably forget to tip people anyway!

Can anyone tell me how it works?

I am coming over again in September (total of 7 guys) and want to get the best deal for a table at Tryst on Thursday 5th Sep and XS (or Light) on Saturday 7th Sep.

    Thanks!

Technically, you should still be giving security (who can help bring girls to your table or escort you to front of bathroom line, etc) and a runner (pretty much a glorified bus-boy who can get you new glasses, ice, etc.) a tip, even with outside VIP service. For these two you are tipping for "extra" service.

The other charges - Tax, Auto-gratuity, let will appear on your receipt (just like they do at restaurants). The only other person you should tip is the host. Even then I bet 3rd party VIP companies still expect some sort of host tip.
If you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it! That being said, it's Vegas and doesn't hurt to try!

When you use a service like Red Carpet...all those extra tips don't happen. So if you book it yourself, and don't tip security, runner, server...then it's no different than using an indy company.

Your runner is the person who refills your mixers, keeps clean glasses and ice stocked, and looks after your area the entire night.

You'll save a ton booking direct with a host that works at the venue so do that. Keep it simple from there....
First time you meet your host, hand him a $100
First time you meet your security, hand him $20
First time you meet your runner, hand him $20

Done...you'll already be doing better than 1/2 the people in the club
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

        Thank you so much guys.

That is exactly the info I'm after. I've contacted the hosts (including you Noah) that this site lists directly to see what prices they offer.

Do you have to wait in line if you've booked bottle service?

        Cheers!

Yes and no. If a bunch of bottle service people show up at once, there may be a minimal wait, but nto the same as waiting in general admission or even pre-sale tickets. Also, it is recommended to get their early in the night to make sure your table (if you request a specific one) doesnt get sold off to a higher bidder, which could happen whether you b ook independent or with a host (which is why you tip the host so they are willing to fight for you).

Cool. A small wait is no issue. We'd probably aim for 10:30 I guess, hopefully that is early enough.

How about "hosted entry". I was thinking of doing that at Hakkasan on the Friday night. Can direct hosts help there too? I don't want to wait in line and need to get 7 guys in.

            Cheers

Yeah that is perfectly early enough. Most clubs dont open til then. I was just saying don't show up at like 1 am. It's just earlier the better.

As far as hosted entry is hard for 7 guys on a weekend unless you are tipping well. I'm sure you could try to work out a host tip with any of the posted hosts or even flash teh cash at the actual event, but youll need to tip very well, like 50+/head beyond cover.

Also if you just want a "shorter" wait, you can buy pre-sale tickets to an event. This will have a shorter line that moves much faster and will probably be cheaper. You just have to buy tickets in advance, which limits your day of options to one.

If you have that many guys and are willing to get there early, pre sales are the way to go. If you would like hosted entry, i strongly suggest splitting up that group of guys and meeting inside.

Ok great. Thank you all for the advice.

So with pre-sale, security are ok with 7 guys walking in together?

If you have pre-sale tickets booked, 1 guy & 1 girl for Hakkasan, what would be the latest time you could be in line for entry through pre-sales line? Should be there 11pm after a late dinner. This would be for Friday, August 16 with Hardwell.

Hey guys! Sorry to question this... I am a bit confused.

What I don't quite understand is why can you buy pre sales for $30 and walk straight in with a group of 7 or 8 guys but when you go through General Admission they charge more like $50 for entry and you have to tip security big to get in with a group of guys anyway... if at all!

So why is it so different when entering a club with pre-sales and why don't all big groups of guys just do pre sales?!

                              Thanks!
