  • Would Bottle Service be worth it for one couple!?

    Ladies and Gents,

Not entirely certain whether of not this question has been asked before, had a skim through the threads and couldnt find anything precise.

Basically would like to know if a BS is really the best option for my Girlfriend and I?

I understand the system, and that this will likely set me back around $1500 but as its just more a special occassion for my partner and I, and im not going to be with the guys trying to snag some ladies to join our table, I'm wondering whether it would be worth the money?

The main things I'm interested in are:

    1 - Skipping the Line.
2 - Avoiding Queueing at the bar for a long time.

I would like to know how much I might expect to pay for this scenario? Also, would Bouncers be OK for a couple to skip the line, bearing in mind I will be with a lady (albeit a taken one) and of course, providing the price is right....?

I am a British Airline Pilot and my girlfriend is an attractive Eastern European girl, not scheduled to be flying over until the Spring time. I beleive im right in saying as it is a quieter time of year, that might work in our favour?

Thanks in Advance for your time and help!

    Regards,

    Hello Boeing,

Looks like you haven't posted much, so welcome to the forums. If your main concern is skipping the line, you could simply arrange hosted entry with one of the suggested hosts from the forums. With a solid handshake, I'm sure they will take care of the both of you. If you are concerned about waiting in line at the bar for drinks, there is no real way to get around this besides having a table.

Depending on the night, I'm sure could get away with a minimum a lot less than 1500 if your location is not of concern. I would imagine it would be quite difficult to finish 1500 in bottles among just the two of you. If you would like to lower your cost by splitting the table with some other forum members, we have a section for that:

    http://forums.jackcolton.com/forumdi...s-when-you-are!

If you told us the date(s) you planned on getting a table, I'm sure we could help you more in terms of pricing. Obviously weekends will be more expensive than weekdays and holiday weekends will be more expensive than non holiday weekends. You an also expect higher tier clubs to have higher minimums.

I hope this helps a little.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question!

That confirms what I thought about getting through 1500, or even 1000 dollars worth of drinks between just me and my partner.

Im travelling at the end of February 2014, so with plenty of time in hand, I'm thinking of contacting a host or independent host for guest list perhaps?

The clubs I'm particularly interested in are Bank, and Pure. I understand these are higher tier clubs.

could you please clarify for me, (by PM if it's more appropriate) how one would define a 'solid handshake' in say a club like Pure, for a gentleman and his lady, in order for us to perhaps skip the line....?? Compared to clubs in say London or Continental Europe what we may think is a solid handshake may differ somewhat to that of a Vegas solid handshake....

      Thanks again for your time,

      regards,

Vegas is a very accessible/customizable place- you can go low or high end rooms, food, nightclubs.

Since its a special occasion for two people are you thinking more about a really unique meal?
There are all kind of fine, very fine and totally unique dining options- From name brand chefs with unique foods to one of a kind experiences.

In terms of nightclubs keep three things in mind generally:
        1. what weekend of the year- Holiday vs non holiday- for example NYE, Superbowl- early Feb, MDW, EDC, LDW, Halloween all attract much larger crowds.
        2. what day of the week- Friday and Saturday are bigger then Sunday-Thursday. Some clubs even offer bottle specials on the Sunday-Thursday days. For example on these forums a $395 Moet/Goose 2 bottle special at Tryst is talked about.
        3. Name Brand DJS- some clubs have DJs that are really well known and perform all over the world- as it gets closer its worth researching each clubs DJ lineup and compare and see if you recognize the names. For example if you like Hip hop music you might look for hip hop djs but if you don't like hip hop music you might want to skip.

Also realize vegas clubs are big- usually holding in the thousands, even up to 5,000+ people a night. So its worth realizing with a small minimum table you might have a really bad location.
If your looking to just grab a drink and dance for an hour or two you will probably be ok with presale tickets.

Assuming you're planning on a Friday or Saturday night you should be able to skip the line with a $50 handshake. Your lady shouldn't pay cover, so figure $30 on top of that for your cover. Since Pure and Bank are less popular clubs $50 may even take care of your cover as well ($30 cover plus $20 tip).

You could do bottle service at Pure with a $500 minimum, which would basically be one bottle and some waters or redbull. After all taxes and tips you'd be at about $750-800 total for the night.
Like all great travelers, I've seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen.

One way to cut down on wait time for drinks at the bar is tip the bartender $20 right off the bat. You'll get expedited service the rest of the night. Trust me.
