  • Paying for bottles up front, any disadvantages?

So I have a $1500 min for 9 guys for a bachelor party at Marquee on July 19th, and I'm planning to collect the cash from the guys before we go, and my plan was to tip the host and pay for the bottles up front once we get there. That seems like a better plan than carrying over $2k around in my pocket as I party and paying the bill at the end. That way if guys want to order more, etc. it's on them and not added to a bill that I'm responsible for.

First time doing bottle service though, so are there any reasons to do it differently?

With a large group like that, it sounds like a good plan....and since you'd have the cash in hand you don't need to worry about people flaking out. I'd just do it like you have it planned

Whenever I do bottles I usually order everything in the beginning to reach my minimum and then close out my tab to just get it over it and avoid any extra orders under my bill.

Your plan sounds about right if you were gonna leave a tab open you'd need to have a card on hold.

Thanks for the responses guys. Now I just have to worry about the guys flaking out at the start of the night when I ask to collect their $$ while we pre-game in the suite!

Can you get their money before leaving? Or else some friendly reminders a few days before and on the way out should get the point across

Trouble with that is I live in British Columbia and they all live in San Diego. They're my brother's friends and a few have been making some noise on our email thread about the cost. So I am a little concerned that the bottle service plan may fall apart the night of....

Get to them before for payment before the casinos get to them. All it takes is one guy to lose his mind playing craps for 15 mins and hes out and so on and so on

Yea, try to get everything settled away on the first day and emails to remind them each of the cost would be helpful....that way they won't be "surprised" when you try and collect before going out.

We were in Vegas last month and did several big table service nights and pool parties. Our group was well briefed in advance of going of all our minimum spends and likely tips etc. The first night we got the money off everyone that we'd agreed on and put it one of the safes. Then each day/night just tool out enough cash to cover everything. We paid cash for all our tables and settled the bill at the start. We had factored in a few hundred extra dollars each to the amount taken from the outset to account for extra bottles etc. The agreement was if we had anything left over in the kitty at the end of the week it was to be used on our last night. This worked out really well for our group.
